I think that Solis will still be a solid operator. Being able to coordinate where attackers are coming from, being able to spot drones on a late-round flank, being a poor man's pulse and playing plant denial, she has a lot of uses still. And while IQ does have the ability to shoot back, most people don't realize that defenders have a ton of gadgets that are pretty static. Attacker gadgets stay very mobile, so knowing where someone is using utility and where is big.
@@SgtFrogger I see Grim having a ton of potential as to what direction they can take him in, but yeah, for now he's too many ideas trying to do too many things at once.
I feel like nokks ability for the whole point is being off the grid and untraceable by any electronics (cameras, proximity mines, EEDs) doesn't really make sense where she can get tracked, I'm not hitting on this new operator I think it is a very cool concept but maybe just have nokk trackable for like a couple of seconds when her ability goes off
I was thinking the Same thing she shouldn't be detected it would make people pick her more since she would be basically the only to be a counter to Solis by being able to sneak around her gadget
@@flaquito6296 nokk gadget is like vigil. He only scrambles cams. She does the same only with more stealth and less mobility. So yeah it should definitely pop up on solis scanner just like vigil pops up on IQ scanner. Nøkk's ability is not only about detection because then proximity alarms would be affected
@@flaquito6296 It scrambles VISUAL and AUDIO, but it's still an electronic. Vigil warps cams so he is invisible but he is detected by IQ who can shoot him in the mouth with a 45. It makes sense, unlike something such as Zofia withstand.
I think Solis will be a great pick for teams that are coordinated and want to deny as many drones as possible. I also think she’s a solid counter to Nomad Airjabs and Claymores for maps with lots of runouts like Coastline or Consulate. If she’s mastered, she could be a great op when it comes to anchoring and denying drones and calling out gadgets or a really good aggressive roamer who can basically spot drones she wouldn’t otherwise see and perform runouts that were otherwise dangerous. Im curious as to how she’ll be played in pro play and Ranked, I think the pros will find much more use for her though.
I think a lot of the reason people in the early capture sessions thought she was useless is cos they're using her on a map they don't know. I think on normal maps where you know what kind of push to expect and where from, she's a bit more useful
I’ve seen it in game and yes, she can. If someone is using a camera (including zero cams and enemy drones) she will pick it up. Even if the player is dead
I definitely see major potential for this op. Wall denial, late pushes, making smoke plants a thing of the past. However. I am very happy she’s not just a pick this op and win. If you want to use her, be on a 3-5 stack team because rather than scanning, you can just tell your team where the gadgets are. I can tell this is a support op, not a fragging one considering in order to use the ability, you are super vulnerable with no gun. But when push comes to shove, don’t underestimate her with that 50 round P90. it might have low damage but the chances of one getting into your head are high!
A change I'd like to see if Nokk's ablity is to not been seen by camera's I think solis shouldn't be able to see her, I get it's an electronic... but it should have some sort of anti-pickup-radio-wave thing on it, because Solis makes quite a lot of attackers just obvious to be seen. The anti claymore only works for idiots. Place claymore closer to window and go to the other side about 20 ft. They jump out to shoot claymore and die by boom or you shoot them. As long as your not right by the claymore she can't hit you first because she won't know your location. Same in buildings, use claymore as bait and kill her when she goes for it. That's assuming she survives the blast. I'm not a pro but it took me 5 mins to make her her own worst enemy, see her in prep switch to low tech ops or all tech ops to confuse her. Send drones to spots and let 1 player switch between drones.
Welp my play style just got broken. I never pinged because that was a waste of foot prints to follow. So now people will get more annoyed theyre gonna get pinged more for me to turn it off and move.
Thatcher can throw his Emp into a room and just remove your reticle. So him being able to throw it at Solis and just truning off her ability yeah I see why the dev's say he's the biggest counter. But they also nerf'd him so idk. Also with Solis while her ability is active you can still throw Impacts to defend yourself or to take out the gadgets, drones etc. I see her as an Anchor or Lurker. She can Roam I just think the Runouts and such should be for Oryx and others. Just tell your team where they're. Because honestly she's going to be strong in Pro League and in High skilled lobbies. She can always see the defuser so with Rank and Pro League being bomb only yeah she's super strong as long as she's alive and with someone. Also for her Loadout I see me personally taking Shotgun, Smg and Impacts. Reasonings are Site setup and I'm usually an Anchor so the weapons are fine. As for Impacts it's my reasoning earlier, she can still defend herself. Bare minimum mind you.
She’s a solid pick but if she needs to be nerfed, they can just drop the max gadgets she can spot from 5 down to 3-2. You can still see all the extra gadgets but you won’t be able to ping them for your teammates so only you can act off the information unless you convey what you see to your teammates by mic. She does have a unique loadout with the P90 smg. I was just talking to my friend, saying how no other op aside from took and doc had the P90 so now that’s gonna change. The P90 wasn’t something I always used but I’d imagine with the 50 ounce mag, it should be solid for follow up kills.
Thought of Chalet, the garage wall. Have Solis on stand-by and have someone upstairs to throw a c4 out of the window, can't wait for solis, haven't been this happy for an op in awhile
@@Poggle_der_Geringere Pulse can only see people, not gadgets. He can see if more than 1 person is on there drone out there, flores, jackal anyone. If you see a thermite charge you know there's more than 2 people there.

For Nokk i dont mind the part where she is detectable what i do mind is her being seen. i think it would be better to have just the icon floating around and not her whole body
Her interactions are so weird. Quite a few electronic gadgets you'd expect it to detect it doesn't. But I guess its balance reasons, but it will make her hard to learn and understand exactly what she can and can't see.
3:05 Is the Animus ment as an easter egg, or is that cannon? If cannon, then if Nighthaven got their hands on other operator's blood... the bleed effect could make any Nighthaven recruit an ABSOLUTE UNIT and compromise any and all operations that operator has been on. That is scary. Imagine a second Sam Fisher that is not Sam and all his secrets laid out before whoever is using the Animus.

I highly doubt overloading the gadget will become an issue for Solis players. It's way too easy to predict which gadget is the one to focus on plus it's easy to see the icons flashing when moving your head around.
Especially since they decreased the range of thatchers nades no way he is the most viable option also even if he IS he is ALWAYS banned anyways with this it just SOLIDIFIES it for good might as well just take him out of the game and add a secret season (new op new map) and it can be done if rick and morty can randomly air some weekend they can definitely add a “secret season” they would definitely be the first for it too
solis gonna be good for run out lol. I think she gonna be the answer for countering anti-roamer (jackal, lion, blitz, etc) and i hope she would be good in actual match
After watching this video, solis seems to be a very strong operator. Some people might like that because sens and grim weren't very good, but i think solis is too overpowered. I think nøkk and her gadgets shouldn't be detected, ir at least shouldn't be identified. If nøkk's gadget will be detected it will make her reveal more intel to the defenders rather than less.
Concerned about Solis' ban rate. I mean she's countering almost everything. Jackal is usually banned with thatcher so they're not worried. Nokk however is getting a bad Nerf bcz of this operator. Ubi needs to fix Solis a bit

I actually fell that she might be too powerful all though she is vulnerable while using the ability she preaty much has intel on every good operator. Or better said the most picked operators. Your going to be able to use her anywhere.
For got to add preaty much the only counter that she might have is thatcher that the range is not that good and the two new operators that nobody likes
Defense had needed this ability for years after more than 1 operator got hard breaches and more electronics on the attacking side. I can't believe that they finally added a op that was really made by the community weather they want to admit it or not, we've begged for a Defense IQ since year 3 1/2
I feel like Solis should be able to see finka boosted enemies just for that too be an extra counter to finka since only lesion is a hard counter to her and I can't remember if echo blasts disable the boost or not, also buff mute so that when finka or any attacker that's boosted walks by a jammer, it disables it, like when you're getting a call from dokkaeibi.
