Thanks Eline ❤️🌙 it’s such a different vibe hiking in the city - I felt overdressed 😅 but it was cool to do for a change and I loved that I could stop for refreshments whenever I wanted!
Watching this Sunday morning in my pj’s in Australia with a ‘cuppa’ - Super inspiring - and what a fun way to show off London! Loved this video, look forward to seeing more hikes. And, well done - the greatest admiration for your fitness so far.
The perfect distraction to avoid going to bed anxious!! Your videos aaaalways take my mind off what's stressing me out and I love living and travelling vicariously through you. I'm from Hampshire but moving to Canada in two and a half days (!!) so I've been loving getting my final fix of the UK through you whilst isolating before my flight - thank you! 🌙🌙❤️
Thanks Amy ❤️🌙 that means so much! That’s so cool that you’re moving to Canada 😍 I’ve heard they’re having a very hot summer so will be a refreshing change from all this rain we’ve been having 😅
@@BackpackingBananas The hot bit is pretty much where I'm going too! After the complete lack of summer I'm really looking forward to some sun 😍 even if I am taking the rain with me because there are four days of thunderstorms forecast for the day after I arrive!!
I might have went and bought that hiking pack after watching this episode :) Found it 45% off on sale! My husband and I are huge fans from South Carolina USA! Your Tulum/Yucatan Peninsula series is our fav! Keep posting! Cheers!
Omg the work you put into this post! Awesome! Thanks! Inspired me to walk thru my city at lunch tomorrow oh and the deer! Best ever! Let’s hike MX to see the monarch’s!!! A good practice for P2022!
Dear Christianne, I so loved watching this and getting a chance to see lovely London 🥰 and the lovely people. It's just such a VIBE! And I also enjoy watching your videos in general and feel that it is helping me to improve my English skills 😅
Watching from Perth, WA - I remember recognising my local train station in your vlogs and being mindblown! Having been to London this gives me a similar feeling for some reason. What a trooper you are with this hike. Amazing video as usual, and how lucky those fans were to meet you!
Bulgaria is on the UK’s green list and you should seriously consider travelling to Bulgaria to hike our beautiful mountains. There are so many hiking routes and the timing is just perfect
London hasn’t been at the top of my travel list for a while now but this video has me wanting to hop on a plane asap ✈️ Also, well done on the hike, very inspiring! 💃🏼
This is such a beautiful video! Even though it's your hometown, it's like a travel vlog because I haven't been to London. I love it! Your joy is radiating from you! Although I enjoy your content with friends, the SOLO content is so inspiring for those of us who are solo in life. How easy it is for couples to travel, but to do it solo you need to be brave and independent. You do it with style and enthusiasm! Sending everyone some love and positive energy ❤️✨☺️
Defiantly do some hiking in Cornwall, I got the over night bus from London last month down to St Ives for £40 return and then spent the week hiking all over! It was like hiking in a different country plus the water is so blue and clear!! could not recommend enough! Thanks again for an awesome video! xx
If you’re doing the Three Peaks, I would recommend taking running gels and some carb/isotonic drink power/tablet; I did it a few years ago and struggled to eat for some reason, so something easy to get in. Ibuprofen too!
I love this so much, I watched it twice! I am just getting into long distance walking for my travels. This is a great idea to get moving. Oh, and I love the backpack!!!
Love this video! Definitely do more of these hiking videos, didn’t think I would like seeing you hike through London but thoroughly enjoyed it!! Might watch the Greece episodes again as they were so good 😅😄
Sorry your trip had to be postponed, but think how very fit you shall be when the time comes to depart. I thank you for taking us along as I really enjoyed this video. I had phone issues so just now catching up on your videos after getting a new phone. Take Care. xx
Love this! Also...just might have given me an idea about going to the City of London and setting Tinder radius to 1k to try to bag a rich businessman...all the best tips from your vids haha!
Okay, this is the sort of hike I would do any day. No idea why the others didn't want to go. I made several of these across Lisbon (I'm from Portugal) when I was younger and wanted to feel more independent going around alone. Never regretted it, recomend to any young person to just feel more loose and interact better with the surroundings.
@@BackpackingBananas yes lol I have to wake up at 6:30 every day. So I was up later than usual. I’d say it was worth it 😂. Also I sent you a message in Insta hope that’s okay
I was actually feeling the same a few months ago! Getting new hiking boots was a game changer because I just want to wear them all the time so I’m now walking loads! Hope you sleep well ❤️🌙 thanks for watching xxx
Love this! It further fuels my desire to ditch the states and move to London. Good work too! And just FYI, wrist measured heart rates are typically higher than the actual value and thus tend to overestimate energy expenditure.
@@BackpackingBananas I’ve seen it be off by as much 10-20%. I bought a chest strap HR monitor for my endurance work as I focus on staying below my lactate threshold, though I don’t think you’ll have to worry about that for walking :)
So cool that you hiked through london. Feel like it’s something I never even considered. On another note WHY did you read my mind about the rich business man on tinder 😂 I do it all the time just out of curiosity! This has made me super buzzing to come back to the UK, especially because I will have such a fresh outlook on these beautiful locations to explore thanks to this video. Sick work mate!
Absolute love your content! I’ve been missing travel so much and you have really helped me through :) You inspire me, thank you for all you do for us! 🌙🌙 ❤️💛💜
🌙🌙🌙 Will be interested to see this as I'm one of those Brits who's been to London, like once, as a kid and never again🤣 being from the Lake District, why would I ever need to?!
Hahaha I guess when you live far, it would be an absolute trek to get to 😅 I hope I’ve managed to make it seem like at least a slightly appealing place to visit lol. I think it’s a city that gets better the more you get to know it!
As always love your videos. This really is inspiring and actually as I live only a short train distance away from London I might put this on my list to do. I’m training to walk 90 miles in October for the Guide Dogs appeal as Guide Dogs are 90 years this year. Yesterday I did 7 miles in an unfamiliar route. Totally blind and just winging it. I must please grab the name of your hiking backpack and your trainers as I definitely need them. Please could you link them in your answer below that would be super super super awesome. Cheeky I know. :-). If you need a willing participant I would be more than happy to accompany you on any of your training hikes. Just throwing it out there. I will already have shaved my armpits, and walked my dog. I’m sure you get the reference. :-). Ha. :-). Plus it was so lovely to see people noticing you in London, such a lovely feeling and definitely gives you a spring in your step. X.
That’s so cool!! 90 miles is insane 🤯 Backpack - www.cotswoldoutdoor.com/p/deuter-womens-futura-21l-sl-daypack-E1314684.html?channable=00ff736964003235373931355f31373036ca&colour=1706&Luggage%20Mid%20Priority%20tROAS-BOFU-PLA%20&cq_plac=&cq_net=g&cq_pos=&cq_med=pla&cq_plt=gp&gclid=EAIaIQobChMIsbP6g9KP8gIV4YBQBh3ZZAYIEAQYASABEgJx3_D_BwE Boots - www.cotswoldoutdoor.com/p/meindl-womens-tramin-lady-goretex-boots-B2124110.html?channable=00ff736964003234303136325f31303471&colour=104&Best%20Sellers%20£1-4k%20High%20Priority%20tROAS-BOFU-PLA%20&cq_plac=&cq_net=g&cq_pos=&cq_med=pla&cq_plt=gp&gclid=EAIaIQobChMIzsrOutKP8gIVWuztCh2hqQArEAQYASABEgIppfD_BwE
Wow you are a RU-vid celebrity lol….. I got excited when you did your hike through Halstead Kent ( where my family live, I don’t I am from Essex) so I was chatting to them about you walking through their village etc, but I am a RU-vid fan, don’t think they quite understood lol …..love this hiking video too, I must try it 👍
I used to live in NYC Brooklyn,Manhattan,Bronx I hiked around Central Park that was about 2 to 4 miles so yeah haha! 18 miles wow! Also I've heard that London is more diverse than NYC so being I can't wait till 2022!!
I really want to do this hike next year when I come to London for the Queen’s platinum jubilee! Any tips on best areas to stay for the jubilee? Cheers! 🇬🇧
I’ve thought about it - maybe in the future! Most of my hikes are planned at the very last minute which wouldn’t work for a group but if I get my act together, it would be cool to sort something like this out one day!
I gotta learn how to convert miles to KM haha but wow 18 miles that's a lot of walking!! Looks like I've to backpack through London haha😁😁 I've to let my brother know haha he lives 10 miles outside of London so he may know some good hiking routes!
You should visit Alexandra Palace in north London(locally known as ‘Alipali’ lol) the park scene is beautiful and they have really nice trails! I love your videos and you were so close to where I live! I squealed 😂🥰🥰
I used to take very long walks in NYC. From like 80th Street down to 1st street. 20 blocks to a mile, so that is like 4 miles. Not 30km, but still a nice walk. If you wanted to, you could walk back and forth, on different avenues even, till you reach 30km. I think you'd have to make like 5 laps, lol.
I live in kingston and I went to richmond park to look at the view of canary wharf and the city and thought i wonder how long it would take to walk there from here? low and behold you have done a video answering my question xxx
You're looking sooo much better with your exercise and food regime showing positive results. To bad about Pakistan , but it will alwats be there. Love from west coast of Canada.
We don’t have a rainy season, unfortunately it’s kinda rainy all year round 😅 but your best bet at getting some half decent weather is summer. Anytime May-October
Love these hiking videos! Do you find your Apple Watch battery lasts the whole hike? I did about 32km the other day but mine died around the 30km mark 😢
It made it JUST! Literally it ran out on my bus to Surbiton 😅 though it was last at 100% the night before, so I reckon if I had charged it in the morning before I left, it would’ve lasted the whole day!
I'm curious how walking for that distance on mostly concrete in heavy shoes is comfortable? I typically need lightweight running shoes for that unless it's on trails, when your shoe would make sense.
I feel like a pub crawl would be more fun with friends 😅 haha I only had to walk a few more metres to pick up my camera but yes the total distance did include my little walk backs!
