Made it to Vesuvius this weekend. Definitely my new favorite place to backpack in Ohio. I just have to remember to bring a trash bag next time. Water bottles everywhere I went.
Denniston Co. It was a bit dark by the time I got back to camp site areas but in the morning I finished the loop and got a good idea of some awesome sites. I only saw a couple other campers so I'm really looking forward to some cool weather trips with no one else around and some light fishing gear.
Thanks for sharing with us. Lake Vesuvuis has been on my radar since last fall and hope to hit in in early Apr. I have done several other back packing loops in Ohio, but haven't made it down that far South in Ohio yet. Shawnee is on the list too.
Thanks for watching man! I really appreciate it. In the next year or so I hope to have trip videos for all the backpacking options in the state of Ohio. I believe I've hiked them all but I haven't made videos of any aside from Vesuvius. My favorite backpacking trail in Ohio is easily Archers Fork!
