Beautiful scenery... I love that river....love water cascading over rocks. What a view you have - that is amazing! Those little chippies know where the food is. 🙂 Such a beautiful place to see!

I used to live in Vail.. Took all those trails up into the Eagles Nest Wilderness. So beautiful that time of year with the bright green meadows, wildflowers along with the backdrop of the Gore range and lakes. Sucks you were bothered my

It is incredibly beautiful out there for sure... you don't hear a ton about the Gore range, but what a cool spot.

Whoa, those goats were not giving up. Crazy. The salts in urine is understandable, but man, you must have set up camp in their favorite spot or something. Beautiful area and a great backpacking story for the books.

The goats actually started by chasing the other group up there, and then they came over to me when they saw me watching... crazy territorial, lol. The salt makes a lot of sense... I have noticed animals will nibble on sweaty clothes/stuff for the same reason.

I have seen them from a distance before, but not like this, lol. I bet that the babies being around makes them a little more defensive as well.

That is the most beautiful place! I am hoping to spend a week there at the end of September! Looks like a tough hike~ OMG that view!!! I know the goat was bothersome but he sure was cute! The sounds of the baby was so sweet. That sunrise on the mountains was to die for! Now that I rewatched this, the beginning was pretty funny with the sounds of the goat and say those goats can kiss my a&&. After watching the full video it makes more sense :)

I know I asked before but since my You Tube channel was gone for a while, my comment is gone. Did you say you don't need to get a permit to do this hike ahead of time? And where is it located again? I still think it's stunning. I just hope I wouldn't have this same issue with the goat.

My pack is an old POS, lol... it is an Outdoor Products Stargazer 8.0 that I have been using for 8 years. I was going to upgrade it this year, but have been using it so long, that I am almost sentimental :)

Beautiful hike... That goat was not happy with you...LOL It thought 💩 on you. I bet you set up in their bedding area... mountain goats are aggressively territorial.

I did exactly what you were saying not to do a week ago, and setup camp right next to a damn game trail. The babies being around probably didn't help either... around 8:00pm I was seriously thinking about packing and moving, but it was getting dark fast.
