This is the untold story of my first ever solo travel trip. This video shows my time in Ecuador.
I arrived here after a mixed time in Peru to the coastal town of Guayaquil. Ecuador was to be a brief 2 weeks highlight trip as there was a music festival in Colombia to reach, booked way back when I was volunteering in a hostel in Santiago.
In Baños I saw lush greenery and waterfalls, and a famous treehouse called the Casa Del Arbor/ Swing at the end of the world.
Actually it was quite close to the middle of the world, ie equator line but before reaching there and crossing into the northern hemisphere there was a weekend in the beach town of Montañita for sunshine and a big party.
I also got the chance to see the poor man’s Galapagos… which was certainly not short of amazing nature.
To Canoa and meeting back up with travel friends before the capital Quito. Again and brief stay to see the tourist version of the equator line before crossing into Colombia.
There was no Travel Bubble at the time, and my journey was documented via a diary blog called AdsVentures (adsventures1.bl...) here you can view the unedited, raw stories in full. You can also view the original iPhone 6 iMovie highlights reel for Ecuador which cannot go onto the channel due to copyrighted songs being used.
I had no idea about what filming and making a video was really about, a collection of clips, photos and stories have formed this throwback solo series. Created to prequel Travel Bubble and to show other adventures from around the world.
