I wasn't the first to do this and I sure as heck didn't execute it the best either but I got it done and cooked a chicken out in the bush all by my lonesome.
my thermometer said to cook the chicken to 185

Man it's satisfying to see the forces of nature work for you. GOOD call bringing a meat thermometer. PSA: Some said Xander didn't share his food last trip. He may be a gluttonous pig....but he's also very generous about sharing...not everything makes the video :)

Dude as a 22 year old heroin addict you made me realize there are different ways of living that can still be fulfilling. I'm still an addict but living and experiencing nature as it was intended to be somehow seems more appealing than another shot of dope and I hardly ever feel that way about anything. One day I hope I can truly change and experience real life like you do in these videos. Its inspiring man for real just gotta somehow get through withdrawal the hardest thing I've ever tried to do. I'm thinking about going camping for a week and just toughing it out with nature but id probably give up after a few days knowing that sweet relief is just one shot of dope away :(

Awesome video! One thing I just wanted to say to keep people safe is that people shouldn’t use stones from a river when making a fire, as if the stones have cracks/holes and have water inside, the fire turns it to steam which can cause the rocks to explode and can be quite dangerous! Much love from the UK!

Xander Budnick - I'm from Russia and I watch you all the time. Turn on the subtitles, I don't know English! Thanks to the subtitles, I'll watch the video twice! The first - I enjoy the picture, the second - I try to have time to read what you say, and you speak quickly! ))) And you are very similar in appearance and habits to the actor "Alexander Skarsgård" (colbert) from the series "Generation Kill" At 9:43 I got goosebumps all over my body and then I started crying. It was so long awaited! I've been waiting for this moment ever since the video "3 Days Solo Survival with No Food and Basic Gear" (from 10:34). But I have been watching that video and the flight regularly, every week for almost a year now! This is aerobatics!
