I'm thinking that first object you found is an old chimney cap, not too sure but that's what comes to mind. It's funny you mention the sun and its location this time of the year, I was just thinking about that yesterday. It seems lately that the sun is always in my eyes, it's always right at the tops of the trees and coming in at an angle blinding me as I'm driving... and this is ALL day till it sets. Then I kind of realized that it's more south now and how it never really is above (rays shining down). I just don't remember having this blinding while driving situation so much last year. Anyway funny you mention it and I was just having this discussion with myself yesterday. LMAO
