Hello again Sotiris👍👍 Nice camp in the wild even in windy conditions. Of course with that tent and wood stove I'm sure you were comfortable and warm. Looked like the tent withstood the wind with no problems and allowed you to have a delicious meal out of the weather. very greek-type dish the one you prepared here, delicious! and in all this gear I can also identify top quality and surely a lot of money... quality never goes out of style and in the long run it is also environmentally friendly, but for sure we can also do with less... I think we as modern outdoor fans are a little bit too spoiled in the sense we tend to have too much stuff and bring along lots of gear... I ask myself if it would be worth to go sometimes the opposite way, the minimalistic way, the way our grandfathers had to go, just because they did not have other choices. From the point of view of Circular Economy principles it would really be a way to go! I am already abandoning high-tech polyester textiles and going back to wool and waxed canvas... and so far quite happy (there is nothing better than true wool) Where it makes sense it is definitively a good alternative, and this could/should be tried in other realms also.
Thank you very much! I agree with your opinion. I like minimalism and apply it in my personal life. As here in my nature escapes I often use wool and waxed canvas which I like very much, but I also like to try more modern products because admittedly there are excellent and very useful new products that I'm sure if our grandfathers were alive they would love them and they would use them too.
