The deep blue, cloudless sky above Mother nature in her firey gown, all reflected in glassy water; absolutely stunning. At 34:17 The Mist rising off the water with the spots of red trees behind it, positively sublime. That and the next shot are Jigsaw Puzzle worthy. Let's hope that Heaven is every bit as peaceful and beautiful as this spot was. Thanks for taking me to places I will never get to see.

Hi, Doug. That was one of the best outdoor vids you´ve done so far. Stunning picturesque images you´d captured of that beautiful fall day. THANK YOU for taking us along. ´t was such a delight to watch... and made my - yet another - sleepless night a bit better. How fortuned you are living in such a wonderful place. I´m sure you had a blast there during your well deserved Doug time. Looks like the ´secret´ lake camping spot you´d surprised your brother a way back when. I would choose that campsite again and again too ;) ... as it´s breathtakingly beautiful. See you on the next than ;) Cheers from Germany

Great show today Doug. First cast too, and third. Those looked like bass. I guess you know that you are a blessed man to live in such a beautiful place. I suppose everybody was hunting instead of fishing. I would rather be fishing myself. I just realized that you brought your winter tent. That's good. Well, take care and oh yeah, good to see you wearing that flotation device. Vaughn

You truly have one of the greatest RU-vid channels ever! I have shared it with many people that enjoy the outdoors and woodworking. You, Joe and Shawn have inspired me to get back into camping, and even to do more bushcraft. My dad just retired and is excited for your carving videos. Boy that reminds me of when I use to do same thing in the Adirondack mountains here in New York, take off with backpack , 4 wheeler and pistol. Park truck in parking lot of Woodhull mountain unload and drive back 14 miles to lean to at Woodhull lake. We hunted there out of a wall tent about 1/4 mile from lake . You could get a few bass and trout out of the lake , but when time to eat go to one of many beaver ponds and get some nice native Brookies for meals. I wasn’t in to craving back then like I am now so I would sit by fire and read or write in log what I did for the day, or do some drawing in sketch book. Can’t do it now with my hips bad as they are and 63 years old, but sure is great seeing you doing it and haven a great time. Keep making those memories because you never know when you won’t be able to some day ....

Doug, your carving has improved greatly since I began watching. You are so right when you say one gets wrapped up in carving, I have carved for over 40 years and have been retired for 10 years and carve every day.it is still my most enjoyable pastime. The fish you catch are they large mouth if soi am suppressed to see them so far North. I am a Georgia boy and proud of it a beautiful state. Here we have large mouth bass in abundance.if you ever get down south try bass fishing here, God bless
