Hi Guys,
In this video I take my 2023 Suzuki Jimny JB74 to Auburn River National Park on a SOLO car camping trip. I sleep in the back of my 2023 Suzuki Jimny Jb74 by lowering the front passenger seat and using an air mattress and pillow to make my bed. I also enjoy a relaxing time camping in the Auburn River Camping area with the sounds of nature and birds.
I have always enjoyed solo car camping because it is comfortable, warm and cosy. It is nice to sleep in the Suzuki Jimny with my Sea to Summit inflatable mattress and Sea to summit inflatable pillow. I also use my OZtrail sleeping bag to keep warm during the night.
I start my camping trip by entering the national park on the dirt roads. The bushland is amazing with towering gum trees. The contrast of the blue skies and the red dirt is incredible. After making it to the Auburn River Camping area I found a spot and set out on some hikes. There are a few walks in the national park and I carried out the longest walk first.
I was surprised by the amazing landscape and native bushland. The grevillea and wattle trees were in flower which made the bushland light up vibrantly. after reaching the lookout I could see down to the gorge and river bed in the Auburn River. The massive granite boulders engrossed the landscape and gave it character like no other place I have ever seen.
After hiking back to the carpark I had time for one last short walk. I walked to the main gorge lookout which was only a short walk. The lookout was impressive, showing the area down into the river bed with large boulders.
Now it was time to set up camp for the night. I began by putting out my solar panels to boost my battery charge before the sun went away. Then I setup my camping table and camping chair and relax with a cold drink. Then its time to get the fire going because its going to be a cold night. I setup my timber and light the fire with my firelighters and butane torch. Now relaxing around the fire with a cold beer I can see the sky darkening and the clouds moving. The fire is mesmerising and is better then any TV show I have ever seen. The crackle of the timber as it ignites makes the fire sound like its playing a rhythm.
Time for dinner. I prepared one of my favourite meals, Stir fry honey soy tofu with Basmati Rice. This meal of one of my favourites because it's healthy, quick and easy to make. Such a great meal to give my some energy for the hike tomorrow. I enjoy my honey soy tofu and rice by the fire.
Now it's time to do the dishes. Now I like to wash my dishes in the pan because I can heat up the water and clean the pan and then heat up another load to clean all my dishes. It works really well and means you don't need to carry a bucket for dishes.
It was getting late and the fire had died down. It was time to pack everything away. I decided to pack up all my camping gear because I don't have an 4x4 awning to protect my gear from the dew yet. After packing up my gear I jumped into the back of my Suzuki Jimny Jb74 and got settled in to my bed.
Car camping in the Suzuki Jimny is so fun! Is really cosy as well. I really liked having all of my gear at my fingertips if I needed anything. It was also really warm. At night it got down to 3 degrees Celsius so it was a cool night. Car camping in the Suzuki Jimny made if really comfortable.
After my nights rest it was time to wake up and get some breakfast on the go. I had my GO TO breakfast, which is oat clusters with fruit and milk. I find this breakfast gives me heaps of energy for the day and keeps my going. I also make myself a coffee with my electric kettle.
Sleeping in the back of the Suzuki Jimny was very comfortable and I had a good nights sleep. Using my air mattress and pillow I was able to adjust the firmness of the mattress and pillow by releasing a bit of air. I managed to get it to a really comfortable setting so sleeping in the Suzuki Jimny was great.
After my breakfast I headed out to explore the last area of the river bed. This was the most incredible spot of all! With towering cliffs and massive granite boulders It was a sight to see. I managed to follow the trail to find the dinosaur eggs which are 2 massive granite boulders massaged by the rain and floods into 2 egg shaped boulders. Truly a feat of nature.
I chose to film this Silent Vlog with inspiration from ASMR films to show the beaty of nature and the sounds of camping. It is really relaxing spending time in nature and it's something that I enjoy soo much.
