In this episode, I venture to the Yorke Peninsula on a solo mission to attempt a catch and cook along the foreshore. First arriving at Wool Bay, with the aim of catching dinner to cook up on the fire afterwards.

Good to see you back, I remember fishing for squid at woolbay, when I was on long service leave 4.2 million years ago! Someone told me to start fishing for squid right on dawn. I got there before dawn, they were quiet. But man! When dawn hit they went berserk. Couldn't keep up, it lasted maybe a half hour then they were gone. Didn't matter, I had plenty then. I love Mozzy Flat right around to Sturt Bay, would walk it with my doggy Boozer every other day. When he died I buried him at Mozzie, because he absolutely loved the place, like me. Your right boy, there's nothing better for the soul than a quiet beach, no mates boozing and horsing around, just you and the sea, with the sound of the waves gently rolling. The smell of the sea reaches your very soul. It makes it great to be alive!

Great vid Tom, keeping it simple and real👍🏼. I remember fishing Klein’s jetty, years ago, plucking a few Black Drummer, and the occasional bustups of snook moving through! Are you still allowed fishing from Klein’s? I know that the Accolade II still operates supplying Adelaide Brighton Cement. Maybe suggest throwing in a humble lemon in your kit mate……..and that Squid was just begging to hang out on that grill for 30sec’s each side for a little char session, before being wrapped in its last mission. lol. Your passion leaches through the screen, and just makes it pleasant to watch, especially with the drone footage😌. Keep it in, & keep it up 👍.

Thank you very much, Kevin! I believe you are, but only certain times and not the full jetty- correct me if I'm wrong! That would have to be one of the most loved jetties back in the day, heard stories of snapper and mulloway, along with the occasional gummy and school shark in the mix too! What a great episode, this is the trip that I am looking for, Solo fishing trip or with a mate……camping next to the fishing spot, use all the camp gears, very relax…hope can watch more episode like this one…
