What the original has that the others don't is that canonic part at 57 seconds which is by far my favorite part of the solo. It's that small part that turns the solo from good to epic
@@markusantonio4866 From 57 onwards truly makes it EPIC and people dismiss this song not recognising the absolute mastery at play? So glad at least 2people appreciate this Masterpiece from a Master craftsman...
Leningrad and Budokan are great, however I think that the original is the best, there is an idea behind every single phrase. I respect your opinions gentlemen ! \m/
Hey youngsters out there , saw YJM 1988 Dominion Theatre, London. Boot legged it , still got the original tapes . Got his towel , plectrums and a set list .
@@metalheart80s Absolute masterpiece that one; not many people even recognise; he has so many Fire n ice Magic mirror Queen in love Save our love Crying Marching out Babylon Etc, to name a few
@@krillinroshi9312 agree 100% with you. I could add a few more to your list: Crystal Ball Bedroom Eyes Dragonfly In The Dead Of Night ( not his song but it is my favorite off Inspiration ) Teaser
@@metalheart80s Brother, truly we were blessed with his dedication to the guitar; when i was younger I couldn’t get enough; many songs were on repeat for hours; gotta say though, Vai is on par, as was Van Halen and some others but for Lead; Yngwie Malmsteen rules supreme for me; Have you heard of VinaiT; check him out; just great guitarists. Thank you
The album solo is so good. I’ve grown to dislike his soloing as I find him just rolling up and down scales too much. This solo builds and is full of emotion (something Yngwie was accused of lacking back in the day). The Trilogy album was his best, IMHO.
I vote and love guitar solo sound for these videos: 1. Original MV (1986), 2. Trial By Fire in Leningrad (1989) and 3. Nippon Budokan, Tokyo, Japan (1994)
@@YuxinZhou13 It’s ok brother, at least you didn’t blur my watermark like other people have done in the past. Feel free to check the rest of my channel and like and subscribe if you enjoy my content. 🤘🏽🤘🏽🤘🏽
thx for this... we really appreciate!! for me, the live in leningrad version is the best... very intricate solo. To mention: the 86's versions ( OMG that speed) the meloburne 1990 version , wow Yngwie was on fire
I prefer the original version of the record. We can note that on the 1986 tour he respected his solo which was very close to the original version, after he had his car accident and he started to improvise everything. Personally I find that following the chronology the solo was wonderful in 1986 and the more we advance the more it must have been less good, when we compare the lives of 1986 and the last one of 2019, there is something to cry about, it is only my opinion. And I'm glad I saw him in the 80s.
I SEEN YNGWIE J MALMSTEEN WHEN HE CAME TO BELFAST ALONG TIME AGO I THINK IT WAS IN AROUND THE 90s. IT WAS THE BEST GUITAR PLAYING I HAD EVER SEEN LIVE FROM SCULLY LFC. STAY SAFE EVERYONE.
question: is that first bended note (live in Lenningrad version) one note or two, octave? always wondered about the fullness of that note in that version...such a nice bend too considering the guitar is being lifted up in the air
Starting at 1:16 is what I like about this solo. Starting at 1:21 with the bend on the B and E strings following with the pedal notes always brings me joy. So much passion
I so often wish he would just play his own songs 'straight' rather than the mindless shred improvisations he seems to always do now. I far prefer 80's Yngwie who was still insane but far more measured and refined, I saw him live and was so disappointed that I left before the end.
I am a Big Yngwie Fan, but nowadays He's heading the way of Ozzy under MoneyWhore management that is striving to make a buck on the old Glorious Sounds of a Bigone Era, replacing his line ups like pants, thinking that he can sing, also his level has descended into absolute Rubbish!! Please somebody let him know to Retire and enjoy his Great playing past!! I wish He could come up with a second part a Orchestra Concert made in studio, well he has the tendency of going down on his music quality then surprise us with something good. I hope that's the case
It's not like he's playing arenas anymore or selling a lot of albums, he can't afford reputable singers or well known band members in general. The guy still plays live because he wants/needs to. Do you want YOUR life to be over at 60 ? Rubbish compared to what btw, you ? Could you perform as well at 60 as you did 30 years earlier ? He's not as sharp or precise as he was when he was younger but he's STILL a great guitarplayer, calling him absolute rubbish is an injustice tbh and who needs fans like you ?
Well, I'm glad I never wasted my hard earned cash to go see him butcher my favorite song. This is just terrible. I know many will seem to have no issues with this kind of performance, but I pay to hear the songs played as I heard them which drew me to them. Not listening to him play like he's bored and could care less. No thanks. I like Malmsteen but I'm not paying to hear that crap.
I hate malmsteen why he can not play this super solo at live performans same as the studio record . why he do this stupidness .. while now kids can play this solo same as studio record ..I did not like any of his live performanses of this heart hurting super solo by the way
