Great video as always, Tom. Thank you. I have been playing with two OD&D retroclones. Inspired by you. And I have been making notes, comparing them, and adding them my secret sauce. Also inspired by you.😊 Have a great day!!
Always a pleasure to see you post! As a fellow solo OD&D player, I appreciate how much of your time in the video is spent talking about choices and design, which is a great deal of the fun of playing with this edition of the game.
Why are your tables, such as the Charisma table at 44:00, not using the B/X bell curve spread: 3=-3, 4-5=-2, 6-8=-1, 9-12=0, 13-15=+1, 16-17=+2, 18=+3?
Because this isn’t B/X. Adjustments in OD&D are not the same. If you look at the bonuses and penalties section of Men & Magic you can see they are a little bit different.
