One thing I forgot to mention, Plugger is immune to Mind-Numbing Poison. Instant Poison and Deadly poison are the best options, I used Instant. Also, you can easily pickpocket all of the patrons.
Died like 5 (2@ boss)times untill i got the hang of it. First kill Mixologist’s Tunic dropped third time Shanker. Thanks alot for the guide everything was spot on.
Vanishing as rogue you need to gain melee distance , so after the gauge you needed to blind the mob and only than vanish. Its has something to do with GSD of mob swing attack timer. So distance makes it safer , and like always if a mob is behind you you are exposed, mob npc will crit you , and you cant dodge or evade attacks from behind. ... so the 1st 2 mobs you CCed you needed to blind the loose 1 and than vanish it reset aggro . Back is always a weak spot vs all pve or pve . Thx for the extensive information about the low lvl run . Thumbs up. Gl
Great video and exact instructions with no BS. Well done. I did on my 58 Rogue and got mixologist chest on 1st run, a green on 2nd, and the dagger on the 3rd. Lucky day for me for sure! Thanks!
i really like your style. calm and to the point yet not scripted and cut every 2 seconds. i prefer having you correcting yourself in the video, its much nicer to listen to! keep it up
Great video and good explaining. Like he said you go to close to the barrels he runs back and grabs more guys for some reason.. just got to stand a little further away from the barrels.. got the tunic on second try and dagger on the third at LVL 56
I've done it, but the problem I have is that he doesn't run into that back room, but rather runs to the middle of the room to cast and agro's everything.
Get some distance, preferably with sprint before you Vanish. There are quite a few instances where the last hit the mob performs on you is going to get you right back out of stealth.
Thanks for making this, getting back into the game on a new rogue and wanting to go daggers but I've not found any that are comparable to Thrash Blade & Vanq Sword so been stuck as hemo!
You vanished before batching took effect, Run about 5 ft from the mob and let a hit register - then use vanish and you will have batched correctly and it would not have broken you out of stealth.
Amazing guide videos man. Unlike most RU-vidrs you have 0 nonsense, 0 attempt at stupid humor or anything else, straight to the point, clear cut, easy to understand speech etc 10/10... But this video and similsr guides is the main thing that affects the classic experience making it nothing like vanilla... Mind you I'm not some anti streamer but back during vanilla more than a few people wouldn't believe this was soloable or thought I was some super leet player... I wasn't 🤣 Oh and vanish fails cuz vanish fails. Keep the quality of your videos as is man, don't try to change what's already amazing by adding music stupid edits and whatnot.
Hey so I'm trying to work out what spec you're using in this vid - more out of curiousity than anything else (i understand you can do it in pvp or combat as you said). But I noticed you've got blade flurry AND prep? Which means you couldn't take remorseless strikes (+25 energy refund/finishing move) at all, let alone at lvl 54. Is this some unusual farming build? Or based on not really needing to rely on finishers so much? Otherwise appreciate all your uploads! This vid is becoming particularly useful as my rogue is approaching lvl 54, and has similar gear so hoping this is very doable. Cheers!
The vanish failed because one of the mobs, i cannot remember which has a dmg aura that will tick you out of stealth randomly. I am pretty sure this is what happened.
Not exactly. There is a "bug" but somewhat intentional mechanically. If the mob has an autoattack queued, there is about .25 seconds where it doesn't care if you're vanished since the attack has already "started". You shouldn't vanish until you either 1) just took a hit and know you have 1 second of time, or 2) have sprinted to create enough distance to get out of attack range.
This might have been fixxed or wont work anymore. I treid it a couple times now. the first view casts he walk to me after i los him but when he reaches 50% on every try i did he strats ignoring me runs to the other mobs and i get 20 adds. At first i thought i might have to make him see me very fast again but at some point i was beating on him while he still ran to the other mobs and got them to help him.
@@ABQSentinel I figured it out. You have to get back in lign of sight as soon as he finishes the cast. If you throw more beers b4 pulling him and clear the room a bit more the fight gets a lot more easy. I recommend people to clear the whole room with beers (takes 12-16) at the first tries. At least the nonelites on the left side of the room (seen from the room where u fight) should be cleared.
Thank you so much for this guide. Have done it with success however a bit puzzled with the 'reset instance' part. Assuming I have no friends, you mentioned that to log off and wait 10 minutes. Wouldn't it be quicker to walk all the way out and manually reset? Having said that if and a big if there is a friend online, you invite them, and then promote them to lead correct? (cause i did it once and when i logged back in i was still in the cubby hole)
You can have someone else invite you to a group, and then you can log onto an alt character and have that same person invite your alt to the group as well. Once you do this, after each run you can log out, and after two minutes your alt will become the group leader and the alt can reset the instance.
Pathing has been changed on this as of today. You can't hardly do it like this as he will step out away from the corner to gain a larger field of vision and once he does he stays on the corner not allowing you to LoS the spells much in the same way would when you step to the wall barrels. Cast time on the spells has also been decreased making it harder to LoS the spells. I got some kills on it then they changed it...
Don't know if you will see this, but how in the world are you doing so much damage?!?!? I'm lvl 58 with the same weapons as you in the video and can't kill him. I know I suck at this game but can you give me some help? Are you pressing different buttons than I am? I thought Rogues only had a few abilities and thought I knew the rotation. Seriously, this is impossible. Great video though, thanks for the content.
Oh my gosh, i just did it! I finally killed him. Its the garrote, I didn't garrote him before and that seemed to be the issue. I even got hit with an Immolate through the wall and was still ok, just popped a health pot and survived. Thanks again for video, 21 more runs to go, or more hahah
@@Zatar Thank You! U rock. Thanks for the reply, I've killed him three times so maybe getting the hang of it but we will see. Thanks again, love the classic community.
Seriously I remember running plugger runs like a million times I never had an issue or died or line of sited him/her. Could have sworn I just kicked to interrupt . Oh well it was 15 years ago.
Im currently looking to create an alt character in retail that is able to solo farm effectively.Do you think that a rogue is a decent choice for gold farm in this game in general?
@@Zatar The attack from the mob was already queued and you were in close enough range. Most mobs in the world will hit you right before breaking aggro. I'm pretty sure all pending melee attacks trigger on combat loss, or something similar.
Barman Shanker has a debuff proc that breaks gouge and blind in PvP and also some raids do not want you using it because it puts a debuff up on the boss. However, it is one of the best pre raid main hands terms of pure damage.
@@AidanMclaren ^What he said. The guide is still useful though, as soloing him at the end of a pickpocketing run is good money, and the chest that he drops is also pretty good for PvP.
