Of the many things I love about this woman and her van, I'm particularly impressed with her independence and determination to take care of herself, her dogs and her van. The security items, the off road capabilities and ability to get herself out of off road situations have all been addressed -- even a heavy duty marine awning. She seems to have thought of everything. What a beautiful van!
thank you very much for that! i will agree so much work went into designing every single thing in this build, it’s definitely not perfect but i feel like it turned out better than i had even imagined. extremely grateful for everyone that made this happen because lord knows i didn’t make it easy 😂
There is nothing wrong w knowing who U are& knowing Ur wants, needs & most important wat U luv! So more power to U. Woman like U is wat gives us woman a beta standing in life!
As a solo traveler I appreciate her focus on security, wet room, traveling with pets, inverter and solar, large 12 volt fridge. These are items that are important to me. Beautiful van
thank you so much!! i’m glad it could be helpful to you! let’s be honest, we’re all doing the best we can to figure it out 😂 i’m by no means an expert when it comes to van builds etc, i just found what works for me and my lifestyle and i hope it can help others!
@@wholisticwandersllcYour fridge is the largest I’ve seen! It seems like 1/3 of your can is kitchen and food! 😂 Seriously, you’ve thought of many things I haven’t come across security wise and as I embark on my journey, I will incorporate some of these new ones. You’re living my dream! Minus 3 dogs! In the beginning, at least. I’ll be building the raised bed area like you with the passage to the garage like yours. It just makes the most sense when I climbed off the ledge of elevator beds! 🤣
You are such an inspiration ~ this coming from a 75 y.o. woman!! Thank you so much for sharing this video ~ your van is beautiful, as are you and your doggies!! Enjoy every moment of every day! Sending you light, love, peace, joy and abundance always. I love you.
absolutely so sweet!! thank you so much! i appreciate you taking the time to comment and watch my van tour! a million times thank you and best of wishes to you!
in a world that can be ugly at times, gotta find a way to share positive energy with those around us and hope to bring some light onto others! thank you so much for your kindness 🙏🏽❤
I love your van and dogs! Your van is without a dough the best! I have five dogs and just love animals. I think it is so great that you designed your van, with your dogs in mind. Your tour is the best one I have watched and I have watched a bunch. It is great that you have your own business, for the freedom to travel and I am going to check it out as well. Thank you for sharing your story and safe travels!!!❤️😍🙏
wow, thank you so much! that is so nice! & 5?! wow that’s a party 😂 my parents have 2 and when all of them lived together it was like a petting zoo! i commend you because i know that takes work! but so worth it and it’s definitely #goals lol! also yes! i knew when starting my company i wanted it to be something i could do anywhere! & that means so much! yes, please do!! I look forward to chatting some more 😄
I love your van! Very, very nice. 6:14 love those dogs! Nothing beats the love, devotion, or company, of a dog. 7:23 the mirrors really make it look bigger. Thumbs up!
i couldn't agree more! they are the best company and companions i could ever ask for! and yes the mirrors were such a HUGE upgrade for such a small space. absolute game changer! thank you!!
Awesome build! I love how she puts her dogs need ahead of her own, although she seems to have addressed everyone’s needs! ❤ A LOT of thought $ money went into this build.
I love all the things you've done to your van and that you get to travel with your three dogs. I hope you ignore any negative comments some people have made on here and have a great day!
thank you SO much! you’re awesome 🤘🏽 but totally, always block out the negativity! however, if there’s any criticism i can learn from to do better in the future i’m here for it! i don’t take the negativity personal, we all have our own way we say and do things. focus on the positive bc it will ALWAYS outweigh anything negative! have an awesome weekend!
thank you!! I wanted "life in a van" to still be as similar as possible to my current lifestyle - cleanliness, routine, and comfortability with the 3 dogs meant that if I wanted to do this long-term it would be crucial to make sure I came up with a plan and layout that would work for all of us!
This is a Kick _ss looking van. It is Beautiful and so organized! Of course those sweet dogs you have look well, taken care of and Less Stressed than other pups. Thank you for sharing!
ahh! thank you! the organization is key for my sanity lol! they've been transitioning SO well to life on the road - i made it a priority when designing my build to make sure their routine/lives stayed as similar as they could to life in a home to make it easier on them.
i appreciate that SO much! yeah i feel like the biggest factor when designing was how to continue my dogs and my lifestyle while being on the road. it has been working great for them!! they love being able to look out the windows on the bed and getting to explore everywhere we go.
Love the layout! Generally my biggest gripe with vans is that the refrigerators are so small but she did a great job of having a much larger refrigerator. The only change I would make to her kitchen would be putting the two burners front-to-back as I think that would give you a bit more counter space. I love the fact that she travels with three dogs. It shows that it's possible in a van! I have three small dogs (10-15 lbs each) and have often wondered if it would be possible for all of us to fit in a van but obviously she makes it work. As she talked about the ramp and bed being for the dogs I had to laugh and thought thatbis what I would do too! Thank you so much for sharing your beautiful home with us Meg!!
thank you! yes, having a big fridge was a must! i did so much searching to find one - there are a lot of options but i was determined to find a retro one! As for the burners, that was actually the original plan but with the depth of the counter i opted to have more “hallway” space and rotated the burners as you see them now. because even after the burner ends you still need a bit of counter space for the stove to sit into… which for me was 150% the right move with my shower being right there. also YES! it takes some adjusting traveling full time with dogs but once everyone figures out to work with w each other it becomes just like any other home you’d move into! the ramp worked out better than i had expected - it’s high because it had to sit on top of the inverter and i know that it wouldn’t be comfortable for the boys to jump up and down off of it all the time - they love it now!! never an issue getting used to it. Thank you SO much for being here and watching 🧡💙
it’s basically a giant dog bed lol they spend 99% of their time outside so it’s really on travel days and bedtime we’re in the van! it works for us! they love it because they think the entire van is for them lol i’m not upset about it because i thought about them for this entire build - i built it for US not for me. the whole point was to spend more time outdoors and less time indoors. we’re all happier that way. the van is basically just our shelter 😂
Love this van. I would change the colors but otherwise it's a "perfect" van. Those dogs are so fortunate to get to travel and be with their human (mom) all the time.
thank you so much! i tried to make it as easy and convenient as possible but let’s be honest.. when you’re living in a space this small things get dirty SO quickly - i should change my job title to a maid at this point 😂🙌🏽
what an awesome van Lady! I love the color scheme and materials used inside and out and its just so well thought out for how you want to use it, absolutly love it!!!
Thank you so much for all the info. I love that you are traveling with your furbabies and especially have extra security with added cameras. Your van is gorgeous! I had to laugh when you said the bed you had made was for the dogs. I bought my house for the dogs! I like seeing a large refrigerator. At some point I hope to have some type of traveling vehicle for me and my Big furbabies. I like how your outdoor shower in the back is perfect for showering the dogs. Best of luck with all your endeavors!! There is so much more available for single women today then when I was young. i'm an old "chick" now but still young at heart.
I probably shouldn't even write this comment but I have seen some very nice van builds that cost $130,000 so I don't even know what her van cost her to build with all that it has in it. Especially the solar and battery bank etc. Very beautiful van and it will last you a very long time. Enjoy everyday like it is your last because today is all that we have because tomorrow is never promised so go live the life you want to live and enjoy it like it is the last day of your life. Very beautiful van and very sweet dogs. May God keep blessing you... God bless 🙏💞🙏
This is the dream van--- I love the colors, the privacy in the sleeping area and that it is built for making the dogs at home too. Wish I could build one this nice
@@wholisticwandersllcHey girl! I love your van, it’s one of the best I’ve seen so far. Would you mind sharing some more information on the builder of this van? I’m looking for one myself for a while!
Love your van. I would just want lighter colors. But I love that you have a full sized fridge!! And the fact that you have a shower, I feel like that’s necessary with dogs.
This looks like the shorter wheelbase? If it is, I think if this was the 170 extended wheelbase, with some extra room, maybe for a little sitting area inside (and maybe a smaller fridge), it'd be absolutely brillant. The outside additions are fantastic.
hi! yes this is the 170’ ext wheelbase! I do also have a sitting area and desk space that wasn’t shown in this video! I use my passenger seat that’s on a swivel base and i have a lagun table mount to eat and work at!
@fackafacka Hi there, as it is no one’s business to what my financial status is… I want to clarify that I am not a nutritionist. Two, I own a company that has many different revenue streams. I specialize in holistic wellness and promote emotional fitness through what i’ve learned throughout my life journey. I also am a brand ambassador and work with other companies to promote their products and business 👍🏽 Feel free to check out my website www.wholisticwanders.com if you have any other questions about what I do 😄 have a great day!
First off you dogs are wonderful! wish we had more time with them! i love the live edge. The van is bad ass! i want 4x4 as well! Super nice rig! Good for you! im doing 3 dogs in my travels as well 15 lb. 50 lb and 150 lb! lol!!
GIRL THIS IS THE BEST BEST BUILD EVER EVER. THE ONLY THING I THINK YOUR MISSING IS THE FRONT PASSENGER CHAIR SWINGS SO YOU CAN LOOK OUT AND LIL TABLE TO SWING WITH IT TO EAT OFF IT . OR A ONE SEAT COUCH OR CHAIR NEAR YOUR SIDE DOOR TO LOOK OUT . THATS ALL. GREAT GREAT BUILD.
omg!! thank you x10!! actually, i’m not sure why it’s not shown but i have that exact thing!! i have an entire eating area and desk set up on a swivel seat! i even have an entire computer!
we spend 99% of our time outdoors and basically just sleep inside. to be totally honest, they're outside and have more freedom than they ever did living inside of a house.
Really beautiful, well thought out van. I will also be traveling with 3 dogs. 😊. I'd need to design a desktop workspace in place of some kitchen space since I don't cook much. And 1000 watts is awesome!
thank you! SO much went into designing it. i love that for you!! my dogs have been having more fun than me i think 😂 they just get to play sleep and eat 24/7 lol! I actually have a sitting area and workspace that wasn’t shown in this video. I have my passenger seat on a swivel chair with a lagun table mount so i set it up to work and eat etc. & the solar is a MUST for me
from the thumbnail, i knew there is something interesting on the roof. this van is a beast!! the roof is great area for additional storage. I haven't a van that uses the roof for extra floor area to hangout but with side/hand rails for safety. most builds just have with flat flooring which is kinda cringey in terms of safety.
thank you! yeah the roof storage does come in handy, but it’s a process to get whatever i want down from there that i basically just use it for back stock like TP & paper towels 😂 store my winter clothes up there and vice versa depending on the season! the solar panels on the roof of the van are walkable, but i do agree having rails would definitely add peace of mind and comfort
