Really nice. She has a Jack 500, but I didn’t hear how she powers it. Solar on the roof how much or portable fold up. She did say she used her ciggie lighter to power her fridge when driving.
Always have your self protection items on you as well as reachable while in your driver seat. They will not protect you if you can't put your hands on them. Pepper spray, taser, Whistle, and knife on you or at lease one of them.. I teach survival and preparedness as well as being fully disabled. I learned this the hard way.
Just a trove of great ideas here. I bought the coffee press and the clips for lights. Thank you! I have a few of those plastic industrial shelf sets. I gave a couple away. I took them a out of my house because they are too hard too clean under them. I bought a 2014 Ford Transit connect high roof wagon. Have been trying to figure out a bed idea. I don't want to ruinthe finished look inside the van. Cargo vans are bare unlike mine. I am going to use these shelves and save the bed build money. I will instead, invest in a nice memory foam mattress for it. I have seen other van build use them. I have 4-5 of these shelves. Ingenious. They really do hold a lot of weight. I have used the shelves for a dog corral to keep puppies in. Just strap individual shelves end to end together at the holes. Very versatile shelves I am learning. Not giving the rest away now. I bought a 1500w and a 300 w solar device with 2, 100 watt panels I have for house emergency. The guys will have to fend for themselves if power goes out. I'm taking them both. I just got my van delivered 3 days ago.
Joanne you're a woman after my own heart. The glovebox of my car is full of small necessities that my young adult kids say are a waste of money and space. It's amazing how often they need to borrow something.
Input: when you have those wonderful "jump starter/charger" units, be sure to check them regularly to be sure they are topped off. I put one of mine away, fully charged, and left it in the storage drawer for "just in case" only to discover it had discharged over the months.
Yes. Very important. I have a habit when I get ready for travel I check everything and power all devices including my jump starter. My brand is also a power bank.
AWESOME, Joanna you are so pleasant and have everything that a person needs, LOVE ALL your stuff. Thank you for SHARING your BEAUTIFUL van. BLESS you stay SAFE. ❤👍❤
I need you 2 in my real world. Your friend is living my next step. Working full time and loving it all. Her ideas are perfect for my plan. Thank you for sharing this great video!!

A kitchen sink is really not necessary. I put soap on my dish sponge then wash dishes, least dirty to the worst then rinse sponge well. It only takes a very small amount of soap to do it this way. Just make sure to rinse sponge well or use paper towel or wash cloth. Loved how nicely you have it set up. Wish I were able to do this all the time.
You are very well set up, and organized, and have obviously put a lot of thought into your space. You seem to have a number of self protection items, however they're rather inaccessible to lay hands on quickly in an emergency. Perhaps you keep something next to your bed when sleeping, and near you when driving or walking. Evan at home I have something I can reach from the bed in the dark, it wouldn't help much if I had to get up, and open a drawer under the bed to get something. Be safe.
Wow thank you Lee ` this was such a fun and informational Video - I love your laugh - you are so up beat and show so much humanity with Love and Caring in all you share .. Thanx Chicki .. Who had more fun in the Water - you Lee or Abby lol Love it .. Have a blessed week .. peace
Out of all that stuff, my favorite thing is the link to the Miracle Whip packets! That was one of the hardest things for me when I lived in my van I could go through the drive-thru but nobody, nobody had Miracle Whip! And I did not use my refrigerator LOL I think I might have to order some of those! I tell everybody, Do Not be without a van! You will never be homeless! Cool setup sweet!
Absolutely fabulous. Appreciating Joanne sharing her space with with us. I watched this one twice back to back in case I missed something. Thanks lee and joanne ✌️👍🌼
I use that camping coffee press she showed. They have them at Walmart. The handles are flimsy, but not needed, the rest of it is quite sturdy. Just hold it higher up where it's not so hot to pour after the handles fail.
She is merely a once in awhile traveler. She lives in a home and works full time. She has style fir certain and a wonderful gal but we can’t judge her minivan as a useful example bc she is only in it a few times a year.
I have those black magnets also. Just the other dey it came 2Me 2wrap them with painter's tape... the long way. The tape is thin enough that it doesn't lessen the magnet's strength. I wish there was some black painter's tape out there. Thankhz so Much for sharing Miss Lee and Miss JoAnne. Wholeness n Essence of Love ((-;
This is a great minivan build. I just bought a Crysler Pacifica a few weeks ago & I'm starting my build. I will definitely be using many of her ideas. Fantastically organized & very comfortable. Love it!!
Remember, JoAnn is part time only. If you are full time like me, we will have to carry everything we own. She has a home and a full time job. This will change your set up bc she has more room with her build out bed in there. JoAnn doesn’t carry much food etc.
@@MinivanLee thank you for the feedback. I just subscribed to your channel as I think I can learn a lot from you. I will be starting out part-time as I take care of my elderly mother in her home. I will go full time once we are able to get her settled in a care facility after covid is no longer an issue. I'm hoping starting part-time will help me figure it out a little as I go. I am a minimalist, I hope that helps me too. My ultimate plan is to get a small camping trailer but that is later. I'm looking forward to learning from you.
Nice easy setup! Get home depot to cut a price of plywood for the top of your cabinets the jackery sits on. You can paint it or cover with cloth or contact paper, after sanding edges. That way your top won't bow down like that. Take the top off and put something heavy on to reverse the bow overnight, while upside down.
I loved her bed frame❤What a great idea. And the storage underneath too. All Joann's gagets are wonderful to have! She really has everything. Thank you for sharing😊👍.
Thank you - and please thank your friend - for sharing her van & setup. Very informative. Lots of useful, clever items. She has really created a great get-away abode.... love it! Nice you had a camp guest! Stay well! ❤️
I don't know how you could be any more organized! And the gadgets were awesome, but nothing beats that gorgeous style of the entire setup, it gave me many 💡 ideas! Thank you both so much! Much Love❤️🌍♾️🈷️
there's an app for cellphones called Sky View that shows the planet your looking at, it's pretty cool, you just point it up to the sky and move the cell around to see various planets.
What a great video. She is totally set up for all she may need for travel/camping. Loved all the gadgets and they are useful! I watched this and will watch again and take notes!
This is the most thorough, well thought out, organized van I have ever seen! The video was informative and educational. Thanks to both of you & Blessings ~Sidney Anne PS I didn't see the links to JoAnne's gadgets
She had some good ideas ! Space can be so limited. I have collected things for my venture out, but can find it was pretty bulky. Paring down takes trips out - to figure it all out I guess. So Ladies, thanks for helping us
Great DIY build!! I loved the clippy idea for your fairy lights!!! I am getting those today! I learn something a new idea every time I watch one of these videos 😊. ENJOY!!
I love all her little gadgets she has for her van . In and including her French press coffee maker, with I found at @stanly.com . Stay safe ,safe journeys
Thanks for this tour. Joanne has thought of everything. I put much of it on my Amazon wish list. Tell her there’s one thing she won’t need and that’s a sunroof. They are not as lovely as she thinks. We have one and never use it for the heat and blinding light.
Thank you JoAnn for the tour of your van. I LOVE all of the gadgets. Even the shelving system you're using as your bed. I'm looking to build out my Toyota Sienna. I wish all of the Amazon links of your gadgets were readily available. I'm going crazy on Amazon trying to track everything down. LOL!
I cannot wait until I get to meet up with strong women like you 2. Ive been looking at vans, large SUV’s etc. everything in Gods timing, but I learn something new each time I watch these wonderful videos. I want to encourage all nomads to watch Active Self Protection here on YT. I have no affiliation with the channel, but I’ve learned so much about “open handed skills” what to do to get away etc. some of his videos are violent, but fast forward past that if you are sensitive, and get to the part where he goes frame by frame explaining what worked, what should have been done, etc. often times the videos are body/dash cams but I can promise you, YOU will learn something. My brother a 25 year veteran Law Enforcement, learned a saying that I shared, that he uses with his trainee’s. “The eyes are the windows to the soul, the HANDS are the windows to the INTENTION. So if in a stressful encounter, keep your focus on their eyes, hands and waist...the waist is where they keep their firearm.

Awesome van set up. So many great ideas and tips. What type of mattress do you have, JoAnn? It looks very comfortable. Thank you JoAnn for the tour and great interview Lee. Have a blessed day.
Hi Joann 👋 thanks for the tour ladies 👍 I love her set up and all her gadgets. I’m a gadget person myself so I was ooh’ing and aww’ing during this video (and adding to my list 😉). Great video and tour Lee. I LOOOOOOVED it 🙏❤️
@@joannsjourneys5904 Hi Jo Ann 👋 thanks for replying. If you happen to see this comment, I was wondering about your mattress and your carpet/rug. Booth look so comfortable. Is it a custom mattress or is it something I can purchase? ❤️
My minivan is small. When I lived in a house I had one in the kitchen. I didn’t keep it two feet from me at all times. Where do you suggest I keep it. Plus it’s not in a bin with a lid. It’s on the bin next to where I sit
This is so wonderful. My life isn't very stable and I am learning so much. I'm soon to embark on this minivan life and thank you kindly for your tour. Ugh so nice!!!
You lifted up my spirit today and lightened my load with your joyful personality. Thank you. You are a blessing. Ps - i enjoy your videos. I have an rv and have not been able to be on the road for a few years now, but hopefully will be able to travel in the near future again. In the meantime, delighted by your videos!
I am rethinking my decision when I bought my Highlander (which I love for driving) but seems like a van would have suited this purpose much better. Joann’s space looks amazing, esp the cozy bed!
The box of stuff is neat but like a show thing, living in vechiles all accessible things usually are used at least every other day ,Happy she,s happy tho.great interview.
What a great set up. I want to do this. I am looking into trading my Mazda in on a mini van, and Dodge Caravan seems the best from all the van set up's I've watched, but yours is so far the best. Thank you for sharing. I'm working still and can get a lot of the things you have. Best wishes to you, JoAnn.
Lee and Joann, thank you ladies! Wow that was so informative!!!! You two are amazing! When I make it back to AZ, I need to hang with you ladies!!! Thanks so very much!
