While finding the Gold is a dream come true, don't forget to take some time to appreciate the real gold in the countryside that you are working in. To my Australian eyes, your countryside is amazingly lush and green with vibrant colours and lots of water available. It must smell so fresh after it rains. That is the real gold, so take good care of your land and water.

And speaking as a step parent, I'm 100% certain he was just as proud of you as he would have been if you were his own child. There's a certain pride a step parent feels when their step-kids take an interest in what they do and want to do that with you. Even more when they carry forward and apply all the things you taught them well beyond their teenage years. Without knowing Dale, I can guarantee he felt this pride with you. Hello from Idaho. Been following you for the last year or so. I've always wondered if it was for fun or a job. Now I understand congrats on your success even if bittersweet.

Just found your channel - sub'ed. Thanks for sharing the adventure! When you are wrenching on the wash plant this winter please consider more water in your boil box - very dirty rocks are going out off the grizzly bars. Also consider a couple of pieces of angle bars in the trommel - the rocks aren't tumbling in there and leaving with too much good material on them Looking forward to your next season!

Love your videos Andy! I'm sorry for your loss, your step father sounds like he was a great man. My grandpa's two biggest loves in life were prospecting/mining his claim up in northern BC and hunting for moose. Unfortunately he sold the claim years ago and he's too old to do either of those things now. The last time I was on the mine with him I was too young to really help out with much or understand what was really happening. None the less mining for gold is in my blood and being able to learn from and enjoy your videos is a real treat, I know my grandpa's happy there's someone like you out there I can watch and learn from. You, Pauly, Dan Herd, the whole crew, you're all the best!

Fascinating journey and some of the best video I’ve seen. My stepdad passed away some years ago as well. There is a special place in heaven for the man who took on a mouthy 14 year old, my kid brother, and my mom who loved to argue. He would not argue with her, just walk off which made her even madder. It’s funny now to look back on it. Nine job on the mine. Much luck in the future.
