I just found out the hard way that the Punisher Plasma is super bugged now. If you are wearing the shield generator backpack, the shots explode on the inside of the shield which almost kills you.

It is confirmed bugged. But I took the oppurtunity to Git Gud, and replaced the Shield pack with a Mortar EMS. Has been working well.

Enemy spawns were increased by 8%. Some people are acting like it was 50%.

That was a hilarious run, and well done completing the objectives. I think this is a good change. The game is intended to be a team based game heavily relying on coordination and strategy, so it never made sense to me that someone should be able to go into the highest difficulty level solo, and be able to beat it. Solo play is still possible for those who enjoy it, they simply have to bring the difficulty down.

As long as the difficulty level where the loot exists (Super-Rare's) to keep progressing is reasonable and fun for all playstyles. Real life means a large number of people are unable or unwilling to play with groups of other players. The Devs can make any game they want, but as a PvE experience there's no need to 'gatekeep' content behind a single playstyle (max group). Again, keeping difficulties 8, 9 or beyond in the '40-man Raid' territory of being totally inaccessible to 90% of players is fine...but there are player engagement and retention considerations to think about.

Solo has to be nuts. With just two people I wasn't even able to extract yesterday. The entire local part of the map was full of bugs!

It's actually part of the planet hazards. Makes it much more difficult, but some Automaton planets take away 1 stratagem.

I am dropping EMS mortars nonstop now. With the new spawn rate. ducking and weaving alone isn't cutting it.

Nice idea. If I have 3 strats, I bring a turret a lot of times. Ems might b a regular on my future loadouts now that u mention it lol

@@ShockRadioGaming Before I hit every bot fab, EMS and EAT. Habitually. With the Qasar nerf, I'm back on the EAT wagon. Those dropships need to get downed.

How far down the difficulty levels does this affect?

The increased enemy spawns for less players? All difficulties from what i know. it is very much justified I will say. Now you will have 1/4 the enemies when you are solo as you are 1/4 the group. Before you only had 1/6 the enemies when solo which actually made it easier to play solo then when in a group.

@@ShockRadioGaming I would say 1/6 was the sweet spot. As an individual it's now much harder to fight solo then as an individual in a 3 or 4 man. The killing ability of players does not scale linearly with number of players due to cooldowns and the realities of cross-fields of fire, suppression, loadout synergies etc.

Thanks for the comment. It was my first ever sponsor and im NGL i jumped a bit to quick accepting it. Its hard to say no to $25 per video when you only usually make $2-5 per video atm lol. Its pretty rough. But I do like a good challenge. I just posted a full 40 minute helldive that I was surprised as heck I was able to solo.

Would be helpful to maybe add in the description or something whether it's played on PC or PS5. Doesn't take long to see that it's on console (unless on PC using controller), but the reason it matters is because there seems to be a distinct gap in difficulty between how the game runs on consoles vs pc, ever since launch. Doesn't seem to have changed with the update, aside from making both more difficult. Still a gap there. Just wish I could filter my video searches between the games played on console vs pc due to this apparent gap. Also wish this gap wasn't a thing.

Players would probably avoid watching at that point for the simple stigma of seeing console or ps5 in title. If PC players weren't such haters, i totally would. But it would just isolate me to much.

@@ShockRadioGaming I would rather play on PC, but because of the sus anticheat software they use I play on console, its still fun, though the controller sucks for precision aiming...

@TheBattousai2004 I am interested in getting a better PC to handle bigger name games but I have been Playstation since ps1. Have all them as well so it's more nostalgia I guess and cost efficient. Hopefully next year I will have earned enough on twitch and youtube for a better PC but it's definitely a grind as a console player.
