I turned 40 at the beginning of December 2021 and wanted to make and inspire change. I love the outdoors and I love exploring new places so I set myself a challenge for my 40th year........
I decided I would reach 40 summits of 40 mountains at the age of 40!
So over the next year I'll be doing 40@40 💪
A gloriously Sunny Day hiking the Pen y Fan Horseshoe in the Brecon Beacons including;
Corn Du - 873m
Pen Y Fan - 873m
Cribyn - 795m
Fan y Big - 716m
Only 32 to go...... I have a lot planned this year and will be documenting as much of it as possible.

You sure can’t beat a brilliant walk when the weather Gods are on your side 😁👍👌👌. Did that few years ago by mistake well didn’t realise I walked that much until I checked !!! 🤦‍♂️.

You're a inspiration for us ladies, thankyou for doing these walking and camping trips ,iam nearly 60 and want to go out there myself, but a bit scared tell I wach ed you ,I don't have the best health but being out there,maybe I will get a bit stronger,thankyou so much and please do some more ,and talk about walking and camping hear please, it all helps, from angie, near Derbyshire

Hi Angie, comments like this mean so much to me! Yes! You can enjoy the outdoors at any age or fitness level. Being out in it will help you to feel stronger. My advice would be to stick to something low level and not too strenuous to start with. Maybe try to catch a sunrise or sunset somewhere local to you. I've never visited Derbyshire but I'm sure there's some beautiful places near you 😊

My home!!! Good job the first accent up that hill is a killer, worst part of the horseshoe but good to get it out of the way early. Lovely weather for the Fan too... Why not challenge yourself in future and have a bash at the Fan dance? Big love from Wales 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿 Adam
