Yup! Totally relatable. I've learned to accept it isn't going to go perfectly and that's ok. The kids got fresh air, got to enjoy nature, and that's worth it!
This was actually refreshing to see. I see all these aesthetically pleasing videos and that’s not what our hikes look like, and I feel like I’m clearly not doing it right 🤣 this is more my lane. Takes an hour + to get out the door👏🏽
I (day) hiked the Continental Divide with a 4 year old and an 24 month old in Colorado. The 24 month old hiked up the trail like a boss. His older brother wasn't so much impressed and had to be carried most of our hike. They both still hike today. Nice you are doing this with your babies.
I'm used to go on walks/hikes with my dog, and I feel like is not much different from this! Lol 😊 I don't have kids but if I ever do, I'll be more than prepared to go to nature with them! And as always is about just enjoy the simple things, and them being happy and greatful ❤
We have this exact same pack. It's a Osprey poco, it's so light and we were able to hike the mountains to our waterfall destination. Made the entire trip possible. Best investment ever.
Google Osprey - that's the brand. They usually only have a few versions. I can't recommend it more, we have one and it's great. A very good range adjusting for torso length as well.
When he’s running around do you get afraid he’s going run into bushes , off the trail etc especially since we don’t know where all the cliffs, mini cliffs, steep hills are at? It takes just one second for things to turn dangerous or life threatening/ending. Personally, I would have to use a backpack leash and my kiddos are the most well behaved kiddos and they are really good listeners too.
@@Haileyoutside thanks so much for the reply! I fell carrying my baby last Friday during a hike 😢 I turned just on time before his head hit the ground. I took the hit. Thankfully not a single scratch on him. I feel terrible about it and honestly scared to go out on a hike again.
