Thank you, that means a lot to me. No I didn’t need crampons for Haute Cime. We were lucky that most of the snow was gone. We just traversed around the snow that was left. But two weeks earlier the top was covered.
Thank you, that means a lot to me. Yes, my katadyn befree still works great for me. Although it can be tough to get a free flow of water if it has been laying packed away for a long time. I usually fill it with clean water the day before going on a trip. That way, the filter is not cloaked up when I need it.
