Thanks so much to everyone who's been following along with the Long Walk Home Series so far! It's been amazing watching the footage back through and reliving the memories. I know some of you beautiful lot mainly watch these for the wildcamps, and there was a campsite in this, so the first two minutes are of a wildcamp, and from minute 11.30 is the camp by Hadrians wall, so feel free to skip through. Hope you're all having an awesome week and thanks for following along and subscribing to these little updates xx
Just wanted to let you know that your videos have inspired me to do a challenge next year 3 national trails back to back starting with Hadrian’s Wall then the West Highland Way and finishing with the Great Glen Way. As an elderly lady who did her first solo camp last year just wanted you to know that your videos are really inspiring especially when I see sometimes the level of pain you experience. Please keep posting you really do have a positive influence on people that watch your videos xxxxxx
Im a new subscribe. Whats this topic of pointing out that you are a vegan in every single video? Is there a reason? Educate me? Will i be a better person, stronger or anything better if i become a vegan?
So pleased that you had good weather, Beca ...tho is was perhaps too good with the lack of water. Lack of water. The Pennine Way. Who'dve thunk it ?! Typical Britain. Actually no, we can blame El Niño, can't we 😉 😮I've never seen multiple (or any) rainbow circles before That was a seriously good honesty shop. Lovely to see, thanks for sharing 🙏
England needs to legalise wild camping, not that it stops us doing it, it'd just be nice to be able pitch up without any drama, instant noodles are the best by the way, keep soaking those feet, looking forward to seeing the next stage x
Oooooooooo boop 😁😁😁 gotta scoff the ginger nuts, it’s a hiking sport; 31 days with feet that hurt in 31 ways! Here’s to more rainbow luck and a shiny new tent. Good on ya Becca boop 👍🏽🥾🥾😍⛺️
Yeah, you can't walk off plantar fasciitis. It took over a year to heal when I first got it, and it only heals by resting it and reducing the miles. I loved walking the Hadrian's Wall trail when I did it years ago. Great video, well done!
Yeah I got it 4 years ago on the SWCP and ignored it. Now by day 3 on any trail it comes back. So gutted. Rest doesn't help me, I've damaged it for good sadly
Great video Beca, tough hiking up that way, but a beautiful part of the country, bit of a nightmare having them tent problems, you wouldn’t think it would happen to a tent like that? They not cheap. atb Mick 👍
Hadrians Wall that brings back memories 🤔 Seem to recall its under a road called the military road for part of its length But not to do with the Romans it was to do with the king of England bringing law and order to the wild north by means of armed force!! Anyway great video loved the 🌈🌈🌈 And 7:18 those 🐄🐄 are not charging you are they Oh cowphobic one 🤠 Anon 🤩😍😘 P.S. Merry Xmas 🎄🎁
Hello Muddy, you are magnificent your images are very beautiful, give us news of your tent Nemo which takes water, I have a tent Zpack duplex and I am interested in the nemo elite Osmo, continue to hike to come to France.
Hello Beca and Merry Christmas. I totally get where you are coming from regarding foot pain. I've got arthritis in my big toe on my right foot and its spreading to the mid foot. I've done some silly things down the years, broken a few things but nothing, nothing tops the pain in my foot. Constantly having to take painkillers like smarties just to get through a shift at work or even doing a 5km hike/walk isn't going to work in the long run!!
Just found your channel and have been following the Long Walk Home. Thank you so much for taking the time and trouble to film, edit and upload all the content - love it!
Hiya, love the videos, so entertaining. I’ve also had problems with water ingress through my groundsheet (different make) one thing II changed was to make sure the foot print is smaller than than the groundsheet of the tent, folding the edges under so that when it rains it ran down the tent and onto the ground and it didn’t get in between the foot print and the ground sheet. Hope this helps!
I’m really enjoying your Long Walk Home series after dislocating my knee I’m mentally walking with you but I can’t find anything after part 2 of the Penine Way. Am I missing it somewhere or are you still in the process of uploading it. Please don’t leave it hanging.
Here she is! Merry Christmas you walking and talking delight..🎄have a good one! *Watching now.. don't disturb me from my nature videos by replying to my comment!!! 🤣👊🏻👌🏻🎅🏻🦌🍄☃
*I went all out other year and went MSR Water filter (the big one with a pumping handle that weighs about 3000 tonnes and 4Llbs 😆) But the reality is it's very reliable just a bit bulky, the MSR dragon fly and a few other bits - that are great on a shelf in the garage.. but need a seperate rucsac to take it all 😭😆 anyway... winter morning fires and brews made in the woods are aplenty! wooohhooooooooo
Awww it was amazing. That msr filter seems the go to thought of you want something reliable. I love my katadyn but I do always forget to sleep with it in my bag lol
Loving your videos. Thank you for sharing your adventures. I’m recognising quite a few of your trails which adds to my enjoyment 😁 Good luck getting your Hornet sorted. Mines been great so far, but it’s not the elite version (like yours) and I’ve always used a footprint. Good luck on your travels.
@@muddy_bootlaces thank you, I’m planning on doing the Cumbrian Way next and am really looking forward to it. Stay strong but don’t push yourself too hard. Take care 😊
Hiya lovely, its because there are a lot of tics in the north or England and Scotland. Some cary lykes disease so by keeping my pack on, I'm not risking them crawling on my bag and potentially onto my skin xx
I watch all of your videos and this is another fun one! I'm so surprised that your channel doesn't have tons more subscribers. Keep up the great content and the subscribers will come.😊
