Did a solo bike trip in southern Taiwan (Hualien to Tainan) in Fall 2013. Incredible trip. Taiwanese love cyclists -- when truck drivers go by you they yell "Jia you!" ("Keep it up!" or something similar). Highly recommend it.

Had to pause the video right at the start, go make a coffee and grab some chocolate digestives and just sit for the 10 mins or so enjoying it, no distractions. Your love, patience and passion for what you do shines through in your videos and I hope you're doing them for ages to come, wherever the trail leads. That was spectacular. Love the music, it really set the mood. When you got to the sulfer vents, Marie and I looked at each other and said, "we can smell them" (jynx). The effort that went into making this trail is amazing and the upkeep has to be massive. Thank you for taking us on this day hike with you. Stunning, truly beautiful views.

Thank you so much for this! I recently was deciding between Taipei (never been) and Japan (5th visit) for a weeklong vacation including hikes. Ultimately Japan won because Taipei was almost 10°C warmer for the week -not hiking weather. But now I wanna go when the weather is cooler.

I’m not sure what is your favourite temperature for hiking, but in Taiwan, it drops 6 c degrees per 1000m, and we have hundreds of mountains over 3000m high.

Hannah san I am glad to see you liking taiwan now! I know there are still plenty of places to visit in Japan, but you may also try to go to eastern and southern taiwan. Such as taroko national park and yushan national park area. They have beutiful nature there

I went hiking somewhere on the east coast, we were told there was a Temple or shrine at the top to look at. Thing is it was very ruined so we didn't even know we saw it, and passed it. We hiked for hours while someone was waiting for us at the bottom. Our legs were dead. 😂

I've always loved your Japan videos and had been planning a trip to Taiwan when I came across this video. I just finished a weeklong visit and just a few days ago took many of the same trails you took. While the vistas were different due to weather, the hike was as epically breathtaking! Taiwan Pitch did a smart thing in getting you to share Taiwan's beauty.

Hi :) Do u had to register your drone before entering Taiwan ? I read you have to do it at the CAA but it’s a bit confusing Also heard that below 250g (which would be the case for me ) it’s not needed .

Is it weird to travel around and do hikes and stuff like you would in Japan, but in a country where you don't speak the language? I lived in Japan and speak Japanese alright, but the thought of going to another Asian country gives me a bit of anxiety. Afraid I've gotten too used to being able to (relatively) easily communicate. 😅

So what are doing June 11th, I just got notice I'm going to Japan for training for work. And I'm very nervous I'm not a world traveler... Never been to Japan I'm really looking forward to it but nervous of course. I know zero Japanese, I have been watching some of your videos on phrases and trying to beat them into my head 😂😂. Really the one thing I'm nervous about is just getting to the Hotel from the airport. Trains busses and taxis what do i take. From Hiroshima to fukuyama station. The guy over there told me the hotel is within a minute walk from the station. Would you like to take me 😂😂😂 I know NO!! Now I sound like a creaper but what do you think would be the easiest way to get to the hotel?
