I love going away on my own, the feeling of being free to do what you want and explore if you want to is amazing. I’ve never been away all inclusive on my own though but it’s still a bit awkward going for food on your own anywhere, sometimes if I couldn’t be bothered I just ordered Uber eats.
I found this so entertaining. You’re so lovely and smiley! Going on holiday by yourself is never that easy but you make it look so easy! I hope you have a lovely holiday and manage to find some people who actually smile at you and make you feel welcome! ❤️
Im booked solo for ibiza in November first time im so nervous to the point one half is saying cancel then the other saying you only live once what can happen , you make it look so easy
Just found your channel, I’ve done solo trips in the UK (to see how I’d feel) but also went to Portugal in March and I’m off to Lanzarote in a couple of weeks by myself! I know what you mean about the odd looks! I got quite a few, but after a couple of days I had some chats with some guests. Keep being your lovely self, anyone who doesn’t want to say hi is missing out!
Ellie I've been to Portugal many times on my own. I find the people to be very friendly however you have to make a little bit of an effort sometimes with people but if you do you will make friends for life.

I’m not sure if I’d be brave enough for a solo holiday although now I have a child, I’d want him with me 😊 just a thought, I know there’s lots of European countries that do not smile at anymore. I went to visit the country my boyfriend is from and he actually told me that if I was to smile at someone they’d think I was strange and it’s just not the norm. I smile at everyone and I didn’t stop so they must of all thought I was crazy 😂
Ignore other people, maybe try and go out and try a restaurant (if you have the money) or go for food earlier. There are probably nice people there, but it’s more their problem not yours. Hope you have a lovely rest of holiday
Right I actually like you. But I actually think some of your comments are quite derogatory and quite entitled. Now I do understand your experience might not be the best. It honestly feels like you were unlucky with the food, the choices and the quality. However "who wants to eat fish?" well portugal is known for its fish and seafood. So once again I am sorry you didn't have the best experience but that is the truth. and "it could have an English menu on telly". It could... but why? I am portuguese. I live in England. And it never crossed my mind to wonder why the TV has nothing in portuguese. So as I said I do like you. But .... sorry it is my opinion
