They speak Bulgarian but you ask or answer them in Russian language, that's why you could not communicate with each other. I got what they said you, Bulgarian is easier than Russian for learning
Only alcoholics drink rakia only. To enjoy it the most, you need a salad - a sip of rakia, a bite of the salad (tomato, cucumber, or any other). Some put ice in it, but yours was already cold from the well. In addition, you might have a non alcoholic drink to compensate if the rakia is too strong (over 40deg.) - the homemade one is usually 50-60 deg.
You're in Bulgaria/Eastern Europe and there is no such thing as "I don't have time!" Your life would be much easier if you drop the English mind set. Trust me, I'm an ex Brit living in Romania.
Dude, the Bulgarian language and the Russian language are different. They are even in different groups. The Bulgarian language belongs to the group of analytical languages, and the Russian language belongs to the group of synthetic languages. For this reason, the local elders do not understand you.
@@Mikedoesntfly , well there are similarities ofc :) Practically the russian language origin from old bulgarian (aka church slovonic), but the bulgarian language evolve for the past 1000 years, while russian is still very close to old churc slovonic.
@@Mikedoesntfly , yes, I am bulgarian :) This is not much about languages, but more about the history of Bulgaria. Long story short at the 10th century the Byzantine Empire made pact with Kyivan Rus to conquer Bulgaria and the Kyivan Rus conquers the capitol of the bulgarians (by that time Preslav) and takes alot books from the literally school of Preslav and some priests, by that time Kyivan Rus was christianized but their liturgy was only on greek. This is how the russian language was born from old church slavonic. I hope my english was good enough to get the point.
@@0xe849 Your English is good. I understand, thanks. Next time I go to Bulgaria I'll be older and more intelligent and I'll make a video really explaining things about Bulgaria ahha! Thanks
@@Mikedoesntfly Svishtov is full of historical places, roman fort being rebuilt, monastery, ferry port, railway station also hot springs etc happy to show you around, lots of videos on RU-vid of the area
Hello Mike. You are a boy who obviously travels around Eastern Europe and makes videos, uploads them to patreon and youtube, and that's how you made income. Why? Why don't you find a permanent job at UK and work there? What is missing in your homeland? I have a son there in your homeland and he says a lot of young English people don't want to work, right? That's why your employers hire foreign workers. It is the same in Bulgaria - our young people are looking for work abroad, and most like you come to us, in Bulgaria, for example. I hope this does not become a habit of the next generation !!!
Hello, I almost make £0 from RU-vid and Patreon. I'm simply a young tourist exploring and learning about other cultures and countries before I get a real job. That's it haha.
It's not that young English people don't want to work, it's that they don't want to work for a lower wage, big corporations and politicians prefer to import cheap labor than to raise the wages. That's like me saying Bulgarian youth are lazy because they don't want to make 25 cents per hour, then importing indians who would accept such a low wage.
@@jonathanharris8281 it is not a matter of low wages given to your youths. They figure themselves that they won't work their ass off for a low-paying job because your government, as well as ours, is giving them CASH welfare to survive. It is also widely used here, by the so-called TARIKATI!
@@MsTeritoria It's both things in combination. Giving youth free money helps create a shortage of workers so they can flood with 3rd world immigrants, that's the real plan.
@@Mikedoesntfly Its good mate! Slow like rural UK 30 or 40 years ago, in many ways. I enjoyed your video that I recently rewatched, struck a chord with me. I too have struggled with trying to communicate with my rudimentary and rusty Russian (lack of) skills
@@seanridgewell3703 Which video struck a chord with you? If you live in Bulgaria why have you been learning Russian? I guess you're learning Bulgarian too?
