Surtr's 1 stacks if they die during its dot duration, which is pretty short. So if you're really looking to stack it, you have to pretty much last-hit with it instead of initiating, especially if you don't have much power.

Once you get to mid game it's pretty easy to hit an archer, pop 3 and kill it. Early game if you just hit archers once and do the same you get it.

No. But it has to die with the DoT up. Early game just last hit with the 1. Afterward you can cleave it

I wish Surtr didn't spend as much time in the air while ulting. I feel like it would be both a buff and nerf. Buff to offensive capability because of faster descent and nerf to defensive. Less mobility though.

Merlin mid build that's pretty good (conduit gem, book of Thoth, chronos pendant, Divine ruin, cooldown spear think spear of desolation, soul reaver. Also upgrade into gem of focus) pretty strong Merlin that I use
