In Solo Leveling, the main character, Sung Jinwoo finds himself in a new dungeon with seven others. He's accompanied by Yoo Jinho, a rich kid with very expensive items who's a D rank, and six other C rankers, one of whom is the leader. Jinwoo and Jinho are told they simply need 2 more people to round out the dungeon and are happy to take them on in support roles.
The party forms and they venture further into the dungeon only for Jinwoo and Jinho to be betrayed and left to die. Jinwoo uses his hidden powers to defeat the boss of the dungeon and when the C rankers return and begin tainting and tormenting them with the plan to murder and rob them, Jinwoo gets his revenge.
The story does a great job of setting up a situation when a classic bully finally picks on someone that can stand up to him. We're waiting for Jinwoo to use his hidden powers and destroy the C rankers and we watch with moral indignation as they jeer and joke before trying to murder them. It's an extremely satisfying moment to watch them get what they deserve and in this video I talk about how the story builds up to this and pulls it off.
