i think the reason why the enemies didnt get surprise is because the game checks to see if you did anything to surprise an enemy first, which by you turning the death shepard to an ally the game decided since its not an enemy it doesnt count as surprise and the fight started normally cus you broke out of invisibility. to prevent this in the future id reccomend attacking from stealth, and making sure not to one shot the enemy, since that also doesnt trigger surprise (similar thing i think, game checks to see if the enemy you hit is surprised, cant find an enemy to be surprised cus hes dead, which means no surprise to anyone else in the fight). i usually have shovel start fights for me while invisible, she doesnt do enough damage to one shot anything and is easily replaced. works almost all the time.
Thanks again for the wonderful tip🤗🤗 i knew that killing them wouldn't trigger the surprise but i had no idea about how it works (and how control undead works ) if you fail the roll they actually get surprised 😄i love bg3 every day you learn something new even after multiple playthroughs
@@mythicaledeg yess if you fail the control undead then the game counts it as an enemy which means you get surprise! honestly the whole surprise mechanic in this game is really odd and not really intuative.

i would highly reccomend turning off karmic dice if you havent already done so. with a build like yours with high ac, enemies can only hit if they crit. with karmic dice on it counts enemies missing you as failing meaning they will be more likely to land crits against you in the future since thats the only way they can succeed.

Hi no I'm not save scumming Cant save scum In honor mode. Just practice it on another Run Then try it on the real run ( not simultaneously of course ) have plenty of failed Honor Runs (my last bard run took 3 or 2 tries can't remember died to Gnols and Grym ) My pala run failed a lot too but it was at early stages of act 1 so it wasn't that devastating 😅😅 sorry for the long replies btw 🤭
@@venamgaming9787 A little bit of advice on your first solo Honor run if you want to practice a full run then try to solo it with a companion at camp(so if you die you can resurrect and keep practicing and learn about each encounter ) after finishing it try with no companion (in your party at the times you fight you can use reset level on you companions to refresh traders stock though then send them back to camp )
after you visit Nightsong in Shadowfell when you go to Moonrise if you to the prison these skeletons will be here (two other characters would be here based on your decisions don't want to spoil it for you)
