Actually I prefer a cotton pad or ball dipped in wax as a firestarter, just pull it apart to expose the fibers. If you're using only things you can find in the woods, just substitute cattail, milkweed, cottonwood, or dandelion fluff for the cotton, and use beeswax or pine resin. Or try using a small pinecone dipped in beeswax or pine resin. There are almost as many fire starters as people making fires. And don't worry about your viewers, us diehards will watch almost ANYTHING you put up, except maybe makeup tips. Though come to THINK of it, lipstick DOES burn, if you get the right KIND.😉😁

Cool idea incorporating your shelter and vehicle. Gives you a covered dining room table...I really dig the improvised shelters you make too though. Being that I'm old, this one would do me, but if I got stuck lost in the bush, your other ideas would really make a difference. Top show mate. Btw...that raised cabin is the duck's nuts. Good video as is your norm. I was enjoying the tower series, realizing it was just another step towards your end goal for your property. As you've said in this video, notifications are intermittent at best. I got notified on one device, but not the other. Keep pushing, it'll pick back up! Sure, I enjoy the bushcraft videos but I also enjoyed the cabin and tower videos. It doesn't matter what your video content is. You're teaching people how to get off the couch, get out in nature, and accomplish something and have fun doing it. Happy Father's Day! Shawn, I personally had concerns when you started the structure build videos that this might happen. Personally I enjoy your Bushcraft videos much better and after all you’re a Bushcraft instructor so that’s where your strength is. You can count on me to watch all the videos you drop irregardless of the content. But I think it’s obvious to everyone who is awake that RU-vid is not playing fair with the public or the posters. Dude, be yourself and show the content you want to show. I like the bushcraft vids as well as your property improvements, and builds. This current video isn't "going back to basics", you're in a speciality tent with your ATV. But, I still watched it and enjoyed it. You are an entertainer, call it an influencer if you want, but you are an entertainer. And you have a fan base. We all understand you need revenue, so pick some sponsors and move forward. You can claim the high road saying "I don't do that", but it is better than whining RU-vid is picking on you and you have to change your content every week. People like what you are posting. If no sponsorship, more vids per week. I hope you continue to follow "your" dream, not someone else's.

They all have ups and downs in viewership from week to week. Don’t know what the answer is, but you are not alone in this. Your loyal viewers appreciate you.
I started watching your bushcraft video's almost 2 yrs ago, I look forward to your skills every week. I am 72 yrs of age and I have been utilizing your skills teaching my grandson, new skillsets each week. Irregardless of what anyone else says of you, you are right on in my book ! Keep up the great work, and hope you are enjoying your property. My grandson asked me to ask you if your son will be back in any upcoming video's. I have passed on your you tube video's to about 8 of my friends, and they now are viewing and are subscribers as I am. We talk every Monday morning at coffee at our local cafe. Four of my friends are former U.S. Marine Corp and Army Vets, and retired law enforcement officers as i am. We encourage you to please continue demonstrating your skills weekly and disregard the negativity of the "Unskilled set minded".

I enjoyed the cabin build and the tower build. Makes sense that if you own property you would build some type of structure for a bug out, relocation site. Moreover, the tower is great for hunting in the fall, winter and spring. Deer, turkey, etc. Semper Fi!

Always watch your vids as soon as they drop. I personally don’t care whether you’re building a tower, fishing or making a hammock on the side of a cliff. I like them all because I like the way you think on the fly and come up with ideas to make stuff work. If people don’t wanna watch, then don’t. Keep making quality videos that people enjoy. USN(Ret).
I would like to let you know that I appreciate your videos. But due to the inflation and gas prices and my retirement taking a dive. I have had to take on more work to even out my losses. And that means I don’t have as much time to watch Corporals Corner. I do eventually get around to enjoying your content. I know it’s a hit for you but current events is a hit on us also. And just like you we have to make it up somehow. I am sure we all like your videos and learn from them. It’s not personal and it’s not your content, it’s current events and that puts the hurt on everyone. Blame the government not your content. Everyone loves what you do from what I see. Been watching your videos for years now and I've learned some neat tricks and gotten great ideas from you. I’m shocked that people didn’t love your tower series. I find every skill you demonstrate is an education. So many functions for the tower. You are one of the channels i respect the most on all of YT-No nonsense and lots of cool stuff.

You are the guy that got me and my family going to the bush and trying some of your techniques. Like Southernprepper1 says "until you carry a 5 gallon bucket of water you don't know how heavy it is" . So until you go to the bush and try some of this stuff you don't know how it will go. Other people showed up and others want to join us next time we do things. I always refer everyone back to your channel.
I was enjoying those build series. One thing that seemed to be missing between survival and long term recovery. Your build series was interesting and worth watching. I picked up a couple of good ideas for my farm, which I am just starting from scratch. Good luck.

I wonder if its partially due to people turning away from camping at the moment too. Even in the Northern US its uncomfortably hot and all the campsites have been stuffed with so many people its not fun unless you know some private spots. I've started getting into some other outdoor activities and starting watching videos on that, but I did notice I haven't seen any CC videos suggested in a while.
Gotta love the RU-vid elitest that get to dictate what the good majority of your videos are that we enjoy. That being said though, I also understand you do this for financial backing as your literal bread and butter. If you were to do a Patreon "club", would that allow for you to do the other build video's with the bushcraft mixed in and still allot you to be financially ok? Figure, instead of just sitting here bitching about it, didn't know if there's something we could tribally figure out together, that way we're happily content as well you aren't taking a hit in the wallet for your time. Either way, really enjoyed this one. Maybe a possible twice a month "gear review" bushcraft series with an occasional tower or other structure project. I mean, if you're doing bushcraft in something you're building, then your technically doing what you're supposed to but as well everyone wins. Keep up the great work, brother!!

People are dumb they don't know that what he is showing you are ways to live off the land bushcraft skills come in many forms I think that the Corporal does a outstanding AF job with teaching us different ways of life and bushcraft
I like what you do and I watch almost all of you're videos and I'd like to give some constructive criticism because you're pissed about the views. Speaking for myself, at least, I don't like listening to power tools for a half an hour. I get you want to show the process but solid minutes of just saws and drills is annoying as hell. Maybe drastically lower the sound or overdub yourself or something else over it. I could only stand a few minutes of those videos before I had to stop. And while I'm at it, I would say the main thing people don't like about your food segments is your What About Bob way of eating everything more so than just people being put off by watching people eat. Again, I love watching you and I'm glad you're getting to chase your dream and congrats on the new digs, I'm just shooting you straight on a couple things, imho, you might tweak to help you out.
Personally I loved the switch up. It’s especially cool to see ideas and implementations you’ve chosen on your property and inspires me to do epic things on my property. I’m more of a fan of you than the bushcraft or builds. Where ever you take the channel I’ll definitely be watching 🤘🏼
