I now have three Cups...my 8 year old daughter claimed the last one I got last week (the somewhat darkened one). I guess she wants some good old fashioned authentic cowboy hot chocolate...🤷♂️☕️ thank you for the quick delivery in all three!
I've watched all of the Corporals videos and a many other content providers. I swear, none of them provides the essentials the way the Corporal does. He's a national treasure.
I got a diploma, heaps of certificates, now I’m the carer to my disabled son. Nothing on EARTH is more rewarding, than caring for him. We (his older sister)don’t do things like holidays, but I don’t GAF. His smile is priceless, and his giggles are music to my ears. Sadly his father died…BUT that’s life. It’s ours and it’s better than all the money in this miserable world. I found happiness without stuff.
A reverse tripod….more room, fire spot close, still fairly low profile and the list goes on. A simple yet extremely effective shelter. Damn I love his thought process.
Cool AF video! In reference to your final thoughts. The year before I graduated from high school I attended a vocational school for auto mechanics. I learned a lot about auto mechanics. My senior year I hunted for a job as a mechanic. The problem was I had no experience. I finally found a job at a dealership doing the flunkie jobs for less than minimum wage. I kept my mouth shut and ears and eyes open. I had gotten straight A's in vocational school and got recommended for a trade school course in auto/diesel mechanics and welding. My goal from the 6th grade was to be a welder. Score! I had no intentions of being a mechanic. I went to school at night and worked full time during the day. For two frigging years. Í had a student loan, rent, insurance, all the usual stuff. I had several crap jobs that paid the bills. Sheer luck I was getting a part at a NAPA store that had a machine shop. I got a job there sweeping floors and cleaning parts. I kept my mouth shut and ears and eyes open. I learned a whole lot. I made good money eventually. I got to know people. I pestered the flock out of a Caterpillar dealer that I delivered engine parts to. I got a job there in the supply room but I tripled my pay. I am going somewhere with this. Now I could weld, mechanic and machine. I was never lacking for a job after that. Luck and fate would have it that I would join the Air Force. What did I do? Aircraft machinist... then later merged into the welding career field. Luck. But that background carried weight even with the service. After I separated from the service I had the capability to work at any one of 3 jobs plus I got my welding certification. My last job before retirement was a shop supervisor at a carpet mill. I did all 3 vocations plus supervisor. I did some crappy jobs along the way. I always had a goal and purpose to what I did. But the education I got back in trade school repaid the student loan many times over. Set goals for yourself that are realistic. You may have to sidestep around some roadblocks but keep your eye on your goal. Above all........... Keep your mouth shut, eyes and ears open. Learn lots. Cheers Terry
I'm impressed that you found and ate incorporated vegetables in this video. I'm was kind of holding out for 7075T6 frog gigs, but it looks like the predator is a very useful tool. Everyone's a critic... If I have one in a pouch on my belt, either right or left, I have a side gig. I like the asymmetrical shelter. Great after-talk. Anyone that complains about their life would be smart to get up off their couch - preferably before lunch time.
10 seconds in and I'm all about this video. I like everything about it,maybe use a bit bigger tarp for a bit more space inside, I gotta have the kitchen sink in my shelter 😁😉
Absolutely love this video back to the basics brother today is memorial day. Let's remember all the fallen brothers freedom isn't free. It cost money their lives and as always I thank you for your service and all the fallen soldiers and their families for their sacrifice. Keep it up brother I love it. See you next Sunday.
Simple, clean and effective lashings. No overly complicated yet creative and adjustable setup for the tarp. Jepp... the master craftsman shows his worth again! The for sharing!
I like your videos she was playing how you do everything in the world you show people when you don’t wanna fire you dig into the ground to make sure that when does it take your fire and start a fire in the woods you’re a smart man I love your videos you explain everything to us thank you
Great final thought Corporal. I look at it this way; choices. You chose a profession, skill or trade. You choose to work somewhere. You can always choose to do it somewhere else, or you choose to stay. Life is all about choices.
Your videos helped me out of a dark time in my life. Thank you for that, really. Thank you for your service to our country. You taught me that Semper Fideles really means something.
Yesterday evening(Saturday) i went out to the garden with my 8yo we set up an off set A frame tarp and a fire in a washing machine drum but my kid biing a piromaniac... sorry.. fire enthusiast like his dad loaded the fire up with WAY too much wood so much heat we opened up the back of the tent to let the breeze in. An excellent night and a great bonding experience for us. Thank you for being such an inspiration and giving the best instructions and encouraging people to get out and have fun. Thank you
Thank you, sir, for your service and another outstanding video. Your final thought hit home for me, as I mark a year since my husband passed. I worked for a company for almost 40 years. I was available on vacations and even worked the week my husband passed. He was right, though when he said for years that I was replaceable within the company. I will tell all of you, life is too short to not be happy with what you are doing. I finally left my job on January 9th of this year, but now spending my retirement years alone. I wasted so much time at work, when I should have spent more time with family. Take care.❤
Big fan haven’t missed a Sunday in two years got a suggestion….would like to see an primitive off grid forge build…it would be a small challenge and would mix it up some🤔
Totally new tarp configuration I've never seen before. I like it. It rocks. I've gone gigging a few times but only when grandma was available in the kitchen. Yep, tastes just like chicken. (I like it when the hunter becomes the hunted.)
Thank you for the advice at the end. You can know something in your head but as you said, emotions, a false sense of guilty, or other things can make you feel stuck. It helps to hear it it said. And, when the truth touches the heart, then change can happen.
Hello from Oklahoma! Great Video! It's always a good Day when I get to see You! Some advice from an old man, 63, On your final thoughts, It's so true do not be easily discouraged. And, life happens indeed, so Find a place in the world to be and work that You enjoy. Then start your family. And if your not absolutely sure, Do Not Get Married Fellas!!! Thanks for all You do! God Bless!
Thanks Shawn! That video brought back a lot of memories for me. Like you used to frog gig as a teenager and I'd take a Rainbow Bread bag with me. I'd come back with a bag full of frog legs, and my mother would never fix them for me. I'd fry up a mess and she would be screaming like a maniac when they'd start kicking in the pan! LOL!!!
I like these simple shelters. Something someone could do while on the move from one place to another. Also, can you make poor mans pad thai in the bush. so good
Anytime … The Predator part of the video was classic! Thanks for your hard work this week. The tarp configuration looked like it was very practical. Outstanding!
Thank you Corporal for sharing your knowledge and expertise to all of us! I have learned a lot about self reliance, and as a kid going on a lot of camping trips, I think I can survive now. But knowledge helps everyone and I have paid attention!
Wonderful shelter configuration! Three lengths of bamboo, a tarp with stakes and we have a home sweet home in the Philippines. Thank you for the demonstration.
