You kinda got yerself in a rut. Yer only doin' shelters n cookin' the same kinda foods. Break the rut. Teach 6-8 different types of fire pits and the uses for each. - 4 different ways of water purification - Desalinization of water for those close to salt water. Meat, fish, meal drying for long term storage. - Set up all yer tents together and do side by side comparisons, also with a tarp for those undecided. - Do a best clothing to carry, depending on time of year. - ETC,, Just to help ya break the rut. - By the way, SEMPER FI. 2533 radio, telegraph, teletype, 1/6/66 - 5/19/69. @@robertott8467 I am well aware of what you were/are doing. That is why I made suggestions. I wasn't suggesting long term living, merely survival in varied circumstances. ie, light pack with tarp. Setup full camp in 5 minutes in case of rain. Simple survival for short term. - As for myself, a knife and a coat is good. Turn me loose in the forest and I am good to go. Been at it since about age 5-6 and am 73 now. Merely suggestions to spice up yer videos. Let's not let our egos, or being macho, get the best of us. Life is too short.

Another OUTSTANDING AF video, as always!! Loved the candle holder, wouldn't mind you doing more little projects like that, really show off how to do more than just survive, rather enjoy a night or two in the woods. Spring is an important time for the Marine... The warming temperatures and frequent rains create a different set of criteria for building a home and the storms provide a lot of deadfall to be utilized... Like the much smaller, but not much furrier beaver, the Marine plays an important role in rejuvenating the forest... By felling standing dead trees and disposing of smaller branches and leaves that build up over the previous seasons, he creates space for new growth and reduces fuel for furious forest fires that could occur during the summer droughts... Dry and filled with flammable resin, the standing red pines can quickly spread flames to the branches of taller trees... Let us now quietly watch as he settles in to his new home and prepares his evening meal, his great reward for a day of hard work...

I know you have probably heard this already but just in case you haven't, when are you going to put out a Corporals Corner Cookbook? You have more than enough recipes for a bushcraft cookbook. Plus you can add things we have not seen yet. You can make it like a field manual, built hardy with that paper that can get wet and not get destroyed. A survival or bushcraft manual would be cool too but FM21-76, SAS Survival guide, Mike Hawk, Tom Brown, Les Stroud, and every other manual already exists. Having said that, if there were a Corporals Bushcraft I would get it. BUT, what you don't see often is cookbook centered around cooking bacon everything in various ways and a big assed steak on a rock. Something to think about.

They seem to be forgetting that, while you are only out on an overnighter, you are showing your audience how to build shelters that could be used for days, or even weeks, if they find themselves in a true survival situation. So, while it may be a lot of work for an overnight stay, that work could be split up over 2-3 days, if needed, to keep you alive for however long it took help to find you. Keep up the good work. Incorrect. You can get out in your spare time, practice, and have fun with only a good fixed blade (preferably carbon steel) knife or Swiss Army Knife (I suggest the Huntsman model; it has knife and saw blades on it), roll of bankline (it isn't expensive and a roll lasts a long time), inexpensive tarp (although the better ones are expensive), ferro rod and Bic lighter as backup, and 21" or 24" saw blade with which you can make a bucksaw (see his videos for instructions about how to make a bucksaw). The only difficulty you may have would be finding somewhere to go. I suggest you sort his videos from oldest to newest and watch them. Also, look at his video about the Eno hammock.

Especially with emergency shelters, ones that are too large take longer to heat and are harder to keep warm. If you were building a shelter that was going to have to get you through several months of roughing it, then yeah, sure, take your time and build something a little more extravagant. Something you might be able to bring a small fire into, or at least some hot rocks, and be able to sit upright in. But for a few days, even a few weeks, a small emergency shelter that is less work, both to build and to maintain, is going to be a major time and effort saver in the long run. That said, if you're someone who just loves building large, fancy shelters for whatever reason, even for small outings, more power to you. But I'm personally in the mindset of smaller being better for temporary shelters.

I keep watching these and have to wonder if you gave the good Corporal a chunk of land and a few high quality tools and he'd have a cabin that's up to code anywhere in a matter of weeks. The plumbing might slow him down some but not much else would

There is a group of mountains in CO I love to hike up, but it takes over half a day to hike to the base. This shelter would be super super cool to build and revisit whenever I want to camp at the base of my favorite mountain

Love the shelter. Very cozy looking even if it was just an overnighted. You can still use it for another overnighted at another time. You got some awesome ideas. Thumbs up.

Mr Chicko: In your channel you mentioned something about cleaning kitchenware. I don't know how he does that. But I know he had 2 raw materials that could help. Ashes (potash), sawdust and water. Just make a mixture of these elements and you'll get a prepper paste soap. Fine sand also substitutes sawdust. It cleanses hands and the entire body as well (if you used sawdust). Good for removing cars heavy black grease from hands too... Fro Brazil 🇧🇷

Just purchased some items off of your Amazon Influencer page...JRTC coming up in April, going to be sleeping in a LiteFighter tent for 21 of the 29 days I'll be there...going to set up a lean-to with the tarp and cordage as a hang out or to stow extra gear, plus an air mattress to sleep on...or may use the LiteFighter tent to stow my gear and sleep under the lean-to. Imagine: a soon to be Staff Sergeant sleeping in lean-to Corporal Style!

So I just stumbled on this channel while looking for tarp shelters etc. I have to say I thoroughly enjoy your approach and attitude and the fact that I can sit here watch, learn, and enjoy with my 9 year old son. We both rather appreciate your cooking! My son Marcus said, and I quote, "He's *really* creative." while we were watching your Bacon Cheese burger on the shovel. Thanks and keep up the good work brother!

Awesome. Also, idk why anyone would say your shelters are too small, anyone who's actually slept outside in the cold knows that a smaller shelter is best for keeping you warm because there's less space for your body to heat, and less are that can be cooled by the ambient temperature of the area you're in. It might be less important if you've got a top end sleeping bag to keep you warm, but if you're doing minimalist camping how you do, every little thing becomes so much more important. This one was super cool use of surroundings.
