First ice fishing video of the year for me to watch. It's like 12:30am and it's still like 30 degrees out. Not safe enough for me except for small ponds. I'm hoping at the end of the month when we have our yearly fishing show to walk back across the lake but I'm not counting on it. My dad had an old wooden folding shack that he built. It folded out into the floor and he had an old canvas tent that he set up on top of it. It had wooden bench sets and four holes that could be covered to make it easier to slide. This was twenty years before you could buy a shack at the store when everybody still made their own and pulled them with snowmobiles. This was before four wheelers had been invented. We had dangerous three wheelers though. I remember that the ice fishing poles didn't have reels on them yet and we had the same tip-ups that you are using in the video. Batteries for them clipped on the flag and they would light up when a fish hit the tipup and the flag went up.. they didn't always work so you still needed to watch them.

I'm with you on steak, just give me butter and garlic, and i like it moo-ing... but my boyfriend likes steak seasoning, and his medium well (no blood just a little pink). We don't keep rosemary in our seasoning stash because Steven has a slight allergic reaction to it. Glad you had fun! Even though your morning was rough. See you on the next one!

I don't like seasonings on my steaks either. I want to taste the flavor of the steak. After it's cooked i put salt only. Once in a while I'll marinate it in just Worcestershire sauce.

Over the years I've mentioned used to set up camp with friends hunting and ice fishing around new England, best way to eat a steakis camping 👍, but we didn't have technology so kept fire going for warmth and cooking, that's freedom, remember my tattoo 'live free or die'👊, you rock my friend, oh whats Todd Upto? The best way i found to fish crappie at night is using 2 number 12 trebles with live minnows, with a bell sinker at the bottom. I put enough weight for my pole so can notice when they push up on it. Crappie tend to run up with it, so i see your pole snap up, u can see the bite
So one time my dad told me about my mom getting blown inside the ice fishing shack in one of the new lightweight ones so I bought them something that you drill a hole partially down and then stick this thing inside the hole that unclamps and digs into the ice. They haven't had to use it yet in at least fifteen years
We tend to not release our baitfish into the water when we are done because usually they are not native to the lakes where we fish. I think they get eaten fairly soon though.

hi there i live in n. Maine near the New Brunswick border. people ice fish up here all the time. mostly i snowshoe. vegetarian, keep gear for emergencies though. we have lakes EVERYWHERE. i mean EVERYWHERE. mostly Bass, Whitefish and more. Lakes that are never fished if you can gain access.

Hey my friend please dont change the way u cook your steak of that's the at u love it then stick with that. It sounds way tastier then the way u tried it this round.
