You should clean those birds and grill them like dove. If you didn’t want to eat them you could give them to the local game wardens to give to the less fortunate ppl, it’s a program called “hunters for the hungry” or something like that. They are good eating birds.

Hey Bob I’m glad you’re encouraging people to get into waterfowl and bird hunting but a lot of people don’t have places to go. I live in Arkansas and the dove hunts here are great but we just don’t have a place to go. My dad and I have tried to find farmers to talk to but a lot of them who own the property just lease out to another person to farm it so we can find the owner.

Hey Bobby most guys that have racing pigeon wouldn't want those birds back due to they lack of homing back to the loft(coop) . It was a good thing you took it out because the guys that race them want the fastest birds to get home first and the one you shot was mostly the last one or the one that got lost on the way back home from a training toss. Example the racing pigeon lost it way back home or went to hang out with some other pigeon and couldn't find it way back. Either way if they did get back to the coop the owner probably would re toss them again and see if it make it back home and if it didn't make it back home then that means the pigeon wasn't the smartest one .

With all due respect - how do you know that was a straggler that needed to be culled? That could've been a bird that was a good performer. When they're returning, it's not uncommon at all to see the lead birds come back as singles. That homer was not sitting on the ground, farting around. It was flying through, and got briefly drawn down by those decoys. Even good performing homers get briefly distracted. You can't immediately assume just because it wasn't part of larger, organized kit, and that it dropped down low to check out those decoys, that it was a bad performing bird. Hopefully Bobby Guy is referencing those band numbers and reporting them on the ARPU Report a Bird website.

Here in Portugal it was the first day of the hunting season. We have a species of wild pigeon named "Wood Pigeon" which is abundant in Portugal and Europe. And I was so glad I got one in the bag. Also loved this video... Fred working like a champ and Bobby smokin' the pigeons. Looking forward to your North Dakota videos. Can't wait 👍

Love a lab and one that likes to work. Man I need to find a pigeon spot to hunt but we don't have big farms where I live. Might have to drive out a bit further and scout out

I went dove hunting last year. I didnt kill any but I shot at plenty. Even with that it was the most fun I have ever had hunting. We paid for a day hunt on a cut sunflower field. Its harder than Bobby makes it look. Haha.

Not wrong about the morning vs afternoon feeds. Just this morning I saw hundreds of pigeons in one group feeding, and in the afternoons more like groups of 8-20.
