Man that was some seriously layered bait and switch. I got to see all the chat in global that day, but it was great to get a peek behind the curtain at what was really going on. Also, thanks for building all those drops sites. The maprooms helped me get started and keep some of my stuff safe from the Chinese boys. There were some pretty epic battles against the cheaters before all the bans came through. I think the server still needs some Son of Burp intervention.

Whenever I watch a raid video, it always leaves 2 tastes in my mouth. On one hand, I'm impressed at your perseverance to strike back where it hurts against people like those, so mad props to you for sticking to your guns and showing them who's boss. On the other hand, this always reminds me of the looming PvP threat. Even as a solo player, I like to help out other players a crazy ton, especially when I have the resources to give - I've also been helped out myself a fair amount. I don't actively go and raid people, even if they raid me; I just build back up and hope that my base isn't as flawed as before. I play on Oceania where most of the official servers are dead, but it gives me the idea that I could get raided any minute, by someone with no motive, based on a tiny flaw in my base plan. And I'm not a PvP heavy player; nor am I any good at building a secure base! I just stack up on those T3's and hope it looks intimidating enough that other people just walk on by (although I have to say that some of those bases you hit looked pretty massive, and that didn't stop you). Nonetheless, great work on evading those people near your map room!

My brother played for like 7 days, tried to play the game without a companion at all, then spammed through to the highest gear on the map he could find and then quit back to wow. Literally didn't even end up seeing the game lol. I would have given literally anything to find people willing to have fun by putting in a little effort. I really admire your general ability to make the best of the bad situations, and getting me to play this old game still.

Great video as always. I wonder if they didn't chase you that one time because they weren't attuned to that particular obelisk (near the Bridge of the Betrayer). It might be that, or they just didn't feel like chasing for whatever reason lol. I just know that a decent number of people I play with kind of skimp on attuning to all of the obelisks. Either way, it was hilarious and fortunate.

These videos always remind me that I'm not nearly sweaty enough to enjoy these types of games.

I am bad with both, generally, more a friendly, casual player, here to enjoy the scenery, repelled by the ugliness of pvp (building wise and behaviour wise). So, I was fascinated to watch what goes. .. dig your planning part at 32:30, this ultimately made me want to see the rest.
