Hi, My name is Josie May. I am a person who loves the outdoors, loves adventuring and finding new places to explore. So what better way to do it than in my VW Crafter Camper Conversion (Temporary Build). Not only do I have a bed on wheels with no limits. I also have the comfort of my own home by bringing my beautiful cat Echo, everywhere I go!
In this video I pack the essentials (food, cat, cat food and drinks).
I then cruise to Kingsbridge area where I witness an accident before arriving to my chosen campsite for the evening.
I then wake up and go for an adventure around South Milton Sands - Kingsbridge.

Hi Josie Seen you with Adz. a few times so added the subscription. The word blocks you experience are very common when talking to camera, good to listen to the pronunciation after each block, loads of options on the net. It is caused by stress or anxiety, try taking deep breaths or doodle a little before you start. For your brake worries, always leave the Van in 1st or reverse will stop you moving on any camp slope. Also worthwhile having some black wheel wedges with you. They can stop thieves as they never look and will stall. Great video would be nice to have seen more of your walk, have you watched Ameinavan? Your kitty is cool does she go out of the van on a harness? Also is Josh your brother?

one thing i thought i would mention for your cat. When your driving it might be prudent to have a removable net that goes from your bed to the ceiling to protect her if you suddenly have to make an emergency stop. PS., subbed.😀

if you're worried that your handbrake will fail - it almost certainly won't but that doesn't help when your brain is telling you that stuff! One thing you can do (assuming you're driving a manual) is leave the van in reverse as well - that may give you some peace of mind. Reverse because it tends to be the lowest geared gear meaning the engine will hold the van still - you can test that too by leaving it in reverse and taking the hand brake off

So you don't have any more sleepless nights worrying about your van rolling down a hill just buy a pair of wheel chocks. Until you can get some just use a couple of big rocks or pieces of firewood or something

Hey Josie, enjoyed that. Could I make a couple of small suggestions ;). Those one ring cookers are great but they're better suited to "one pan meals". This guy ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-nZDBocBhXNk.html does a one pan pasta using one courgette and a tin of toms. It also uses dried pasta which is easier to keep. Give it a go, I cooked it last night. Also if you have boiling in a pan, please don't sit with your legs underneath it - makes me nervous.

Interesting watch. Only criticism is feeding the cat on a work surface. Food and water should be on the floor. Not a fan of cats either, more dog lover. Stay safe, be well. VKR's

I can agree with you in this one. The issue I have found is although it is a large van I currently don’t have a lot of work space or organised too well. If it was on the floor I’d certain knock it over every time I move. Is all due to be changed once I adapt my van again! :) thanks for watching!

Are you a full time van lifer like Ame in a Van? Or just a part time van tripper with a bricks & mortar home to go back to? I wish I had the cojones to do this. I'd prob need a custom build with a proper kitchen and shower/loo. I'd need a short vehicle too (around 5.4m). Maybe I'm too old now. Definitely not minted enough. But the more vids I watch from people with homes on wheels, the harder it's getting to resist the urge to bankrupt myself and join in 🚐

Go for it I say! Don't resist the temptation to join in a life on the road. I'm on my own, 68 and have my house up for sale to enable me to do just that. If you are healthy and able, do it. A far more interesting and fun life than conventional bricks and mortar living at this age. The new destinations and all the challenges will keep us agile and fit and healthy. Let's do it!
