you killed it faster than my 400+% shock trooper / roar / electric shield / radiation incarnon burston could in a squad of 4, I don't understand anything
@@simonbelmont1539 10-12 hours normal sp for a r5 energize.. so not bad considering you have 28 days lmao 3-5 splinters 7-10mins 1 run so 3-4 runs per r0 or 240 splinters for a r5 which is like 80? runs max
Good video! 110% agree on the attenuation and damage feedback. It does not feel nice that there is no damage distinction/feedback between two separate types of damage since it amounts to seeing a seeing a single tick on the health bar. Make the health bar bigger, add more phases, something so that we aren’t having to witness the absolutely atrocity that is measuring pixels. That is not fun. So I will always support workarounds until they make it so that there is actual proper feedback to damage buffing.
DE had all the opportunity to just give thembigger health and make us fight separate forms (Anchorite, Suzerain, Zelator) before The Fragmented One as final phase instead of damage attenuation bs that is far more drastic from the first phase.
I'm not really sure I disagree with damage attenuation as a whole, in a game like warframe where damage can range anywhere from 2 to some odd million it's the best possible way to make an actually challenging fight happen without restricting player choice since it still allows better weapons to perform better and some buffs ignore damage attenuation like faction mods. In fact in my eyes this boss will be the path to us seeing more raid-like content in the future with bosses that actually take time, effort, and planning to beat with mechanically challenging encounters. I suppose it could be more visually exciting being able to see the damage you cause have meaningful effect on the health bar but that has never made raids in any other similar game like destiny any less satisfying, everyone loved D1 even though every enemy was a bullet sponge for example.
I was an avid d2 player and for me a large portion of the fun was minmaxing raids. This was enough to give me intention to grind and farm the absolute best of the best gears for each purpose. Completing Duo VoG is definitely one of my favorite memories. Similarly we all cheered when that one guy finally did the solo atheon after like thousands of trials, he grinded at least 3 months of all the bounties. This boss penalizes you more the better gears you have. Not to mention there are so many mechanics involved in each of the raid encounters, compared to this boss's "if i touch you then gg lol". @@zaviki7819
@@chromaticv1I don't mind the damage capping too much from a theoretical standpoint and it gives you time to actually feel like you're fighting a boss instead of a one shottable ladybug. However DE's design around this and bosses in general is so bad. Like the boss clearly has one shot attacks but its so unintuitive which it is, and it has "heads" but the damn thing moves around too much for mortals to hit it. Also I need some more feedback on what enemies have "damage capping" because its seriously unfun to add 10x on top of 10x on top of 2x buffs to receive exactly 0 damage increase
You can use two mallets at once, with the augment that lets you put out a second one, you let your roller take the first one, then drop the second one. Also, I kinda feel stoopid, but I forgot that I can just use void mode, I actually was just dodging attacks, semi-succesfully, got downed once. ([Sacrifice] on my sentinel saved me) Also this video got recomended to me right after another video that showed its damage cap, considering it's capped at ~109000, and that TFO seems to have some sort of attenuation, this is actually among the fastest strategies to beat it.
What an unsatisfying boss fight this. DE’s favourite thing to do is turn off abilities and cap damage in a game where having and using abilities is the total point of the game. They seriously need someone new to come up with a different mechanic than this. Personally, I can’t be bothered doing this anymore.
@@gryffent lol I was testing build and having less damage actually made more damage, it blows my mind, like for real, replacing mods like blast radius with an additional element do a lot less damage than having nothing...
RU-vid recommended me your channel with this vid and “I’m not funny” was a complete lie as soon as I heard “this boss has a few gimmicks, the first is that it takes ten minutes to summon him”
Thanks a lot for the video! i finally cleared that boss solo btw on the sentinel, adding Sacrifice and (Primed) Regen, basically makes your sentinel able to revive you endlessly
Wow, that was super impressive . I love Octavia and I sneak through Sorties and Archon hunts, but this... this is next level. I was getting ready to throw a whole bunch of forma at her to try this...then i saw the build...and i was speechless, and a little misty. I am so trying this tomorrow, after some sleep. Well done
Okay So incase people are still wondering if this still works well IT DOES I BEAT WITHOUT FIRING ONE WEAPON SHOT it was all abilities LMAO thank you very much ❤❤❤
this is indeed a cheese factory build. thanks for sharing, just did this solo and it was hilarious. Also, might wanna mention not to bring a Sentinel attack Precept as that is gonna attract a lot of attention, especially when fighting the Boss.
Thanks bro, I had not palyed Octavia in years, but she just cheeses this, that even i could replicate this just with Octavia and nothing else (no Molt arcane, lucky had nullifier arcane though), thanks.
Entered this fight with my 998% damage chroma and my precious corinth prime Just to see I'm doing half the damage and then see my damage disappear by the nullification
after several try using styanax and revenant, finally solo it using your build (60 eyes) rolling guard and sentinel's shield recharge save me multiple times
Alright, you have my undying gratitude for this guide. You're right, this boss *really* doesn't want you to play Warframe. I have setups that can sleepwalk through everything else in the game, SP, level cap, whatever, you name it, but this boss just shits on you no matter what - unless you do this. I was thinking about it all wrong, you see, I assumed I have to play the game *harder*, but apparently I must not be playing at all. And something that puts this guide way ahead of others: no reliance on disgusting infested incarnon weapons which I refuse to acquire :)
thanks bro this video helped me out a bunch while trying to solo this boss, and I've been playing this game for 7 years. Who would've thought that ol reliable octavia was the way to go lmao
im actually practise 1-2 day for 30 eyes adapt boss mechanics than watched 1 time give it try, killed on first try with yareli about 27 min total boss part around 6-7 min kinda dodge balled most of time with no energy cuz boss almost full time doing that annoying nullify attacks , totally good fight, similar to wow bosses getting extra mechanics and attacks when diffuculty getting higher i like it , hope we will see in future more like this really first time felt stress and challenging feel in wf and also sumdali reward kinda okey but i wish it give more like some unique fashion items maybe
Nice job. I agree with the damage attenuation. It's horrible. All the grind for certain mods and weapons just for damage attenuation to throw all that work out the window. Also the ability nullification is just the final touch to the middle finger DE gave us with this boss lol. Majority of survivability comes from abilities. This thing punches through Volt shields no problem. And strips all buffs acquired on top of not being able to cast for a couple seconds. It's not challenging in a good way. It's cheap. And frustratingly unfun. I killed this boss, so I'm done with it. But it was not fun. Oh, and the adds that spam that magnetic proc in case you dodge the ability nullification will make sure you don't have energy anyway. Screw this fight lol
I don't think arcane nullifier works. I've watched another video, don't remember by which channel tho, that stated anything except overguard will be useless to prevent the magnetic procs. So would run this duo with octavia and styanax be better? To prevent procs for both and maybe have styanax have roar to boost octavia's damage further?
I wish I seen this method when I did it, lol. However, hasn't this just been patched? The boss will send more stuff out if you go invisible? Regardless. Not a too big fan of this fight, but; if they add an ephemera to it, instead of just the Sumdial. I see no other point in doing this fight, personally. I did mine with people recruited in "Recruitment" chat. The 1st group was alright; but, 1 guy literall typed in chat and complained the whole time. That it wasn't fun, or efficient enough; then complained about dying soon. It was so annoying, lol. 2nd time around, we got it with another person; took 15 minutes, but it was alright. Got it done.
you really overestimate the average warframe player people are very unskilled and lazy in this game which gets promoted by how dumbed down most of this game is
it worked so well! tried to do with revenant in a full squad and it didnt work, make it solo was a lot easier, no players on the floor needing for revive, lol
@@chromaticv1 Renewal (with investment into duration and energy efficiency) allows you to stay in no-timer bleedout state (while you have energy to maintain it). So an easy win is to take Oberon and some secondary like Grimoire (with infinite ammo), install Provoked and what I've mentioned above, get into bleedout during Fragmented Tide sequence and effortlessly shoot the boss with no threat at all. Killing the boss reactivates your revives so you can get up immediately after the fight.
This boss is NOT HARD just a little annoying by videogame standards (the eye collecting helps) but I love that the game lets you do all this crazy shit to beat it, I've seen like 4 different cheese strat videos, I hope they keep making more bosses like this, secret bosses are a lost art in videogames and the best part about designing them is they don't have to follow any rules, the fact the reward is guaranteed is another + for them, Warframe designers do some dumb shit sometimes, but we all do, they are on the right path
While yes I do think it'll be better if the visual health bar was bigger, It's not a perception thing. Your damage numbers literally scale down the higher damage you do.@@BustedZ2
This method it's a bit too long to kill the boss, if you build a beam or some weapons that have a big magazine and a good firerate and you take a warframe that can enhance you damage through ability it's 1000s times better, alone i can kill the boss in 2 minutes just with revenant with roar and the torid incarnon builded with expel murmur, anyway it's very intresting your build the fragmeted, I would never have thought of it.
I'm going to be honest here, this boss is dog crap, I hope DE gets better ideas, and I hope everyone, and I mean this genuinely, from the bottom of my heart, EVERYONE that LIKES THIS BOSS GOES AND FINDS ANOTHER GAME TO PLAY. Stop running my fun with your garbage ideas for fun. God, bosses in Dark Souls are less obnoxious than this POS, and I should know, I've beaten all of those with no problems. This thing is just trash design from top to bottom. Capping our damage sucks, it makes guns and modding feel pointless, especially if you can just use Octavia. Nullifying most abilities sucks, it makes frames that utilize buffs feel pointless. To some people, this is a "challenge" but imagine if Dark Souls had a boss that only took 1 damage from swords, forcing you to use a spear. That's this boss. You CAN beat it sub optimally, sure, but it's a damn chore even if you're cheesing it, so why would you do it the stupid way? I've done several runs at this, solo and with my friend, and they both pretty much go the same way. We can get the boss down to the second phase, which is the point where it goes tits up because of the stupid DoT debuff (Fragmented Cascade) and the sheer volume of enemies on screen at a given time. This is all the worst parts of game design rolled into one, and seeing people cheering for it because they "Actually had to fight" pisses me off. It's like... you live in a mansion and suddenly you get thrown into the jungle, and you're cheering for it. I know the game can be easy in places, but jesus christ, this is NOT the way to make the game more fun. At this boss' absolute best, it's a massive time sink where you just walk around in operator waiting for it to die. At its worst, it's a lag fest of adds and special effects that make the eyes bleed, timing dodges nearly impossible, and the capped damage is the worst thing DE has ever come up with. At least damage attenuation had work arounds that challenged us to build differently FFS.
1:15 thats no failure condition. *thats loadout issues.* Mallet isn't scaled up enough to murder them instantly. nor are you taking an active hand in pulling them away and keeping them away from the eye, so it's drawing them into the spot. :V Bring an incarnon or two to mop them up if they act up. 2:25 no, just wants you to play warframe well and not get hit. :V
Holy shit, modern game design everyone! Make the enemy absurdly tanky and punish players with removing their ability to use gameplay! This shitpile keeps getting worse every year, the only good thing left about the game is the music.
Warframe players when they're forced to aim/put effort/play for fun/etc... Plz don't be like this we need endgame in this game even if some are left out
