Man this situation is so much easier now with the fire. Don't anchor them, spam firebombs above deck and a couple on bottom deck. Put a banana on the stove (it's going to burn and start throwing out fire rapidly). Then just camp the water/food barrels. They have to either waste time fighting you while already hurt from fire, or anchor the ship and jump off to get water (in which case you can go up and shoot them off the ladders).
I been playing for a week, need 8 levels for PL. I got on today thinking I'd knock it out but I was sunk 3 times. Not in fair combat out at sea where I at least have a chance to defend myself. All 3 times, anchored, at an Outpost, by a Galleon while I'm a solo sloop. No Reapers Mark, no chased me to the Outpost, no answer when I "Friend or Foed" All snake sneak attacks, 3v1 or higher. This was satisfying to watch
Although they have four usable cannons, causing enough carnage on the initial attack sets them back on repairs. worst case scenario I’ve had was a 2 cannons unloading on me. I recovered and set fire to the port side. Securing victory.
Got sunk by a bunch of kids on a galleon talking crap while I was fishing. I swear, being a solo slooper is harder than I first thought, but if I ever see a bunch of kids again, I'm not showing any mercy.
Went against a galleon in my sloop earlier. It went epic when I had Sixcalibur by Angus McSix playing in the background. I won but at the cost of my ship. The only thing that sucked about the battle; I forgot to record 😅
I faced a full Brig and they were after finishing a Flameheart battle, this was because they sank me after I tried to make peace. While I died every attempt to fight them, I was fueled by revenge. Eventually I had to leave the game and just scuttled my ship. They had voice chat when I approached their ship asking if I was sunk already, I spoke up and said "I was friendly." Non-angry tone mind you. They were fast so they sailed past me. One guy shot me and got me low with his AoR. Eventually, one of their own dropped out to meet me, but he never fired or attacked me. Turns out, the reason they attacked was because they thought I was hostile, and they didn't hear my quick chats with "We're Friendly." I tried to give them all of my trophy fish, porks and snake, but the guy I was with only had enough space for one. He had to eat a banana for it. I apologized for repeatedly trying to sink them and being rather toxic, though the guy did complement me for going head to head with them since no solo sloop attacks a full Brig or Galleon.
Don't show your mouse inputs if you're going to pretend to do 1 frame quick scopes btw. We learned this in 1999. Let's just pretend he's using a blunder or is actually quick scoping, the tactical lessons are still valuable here even if you lack nospread.
That would almost be impossible against a half competent crew, You could probably beat a gall if it had an unorganised crew. but it would be the same way of sinking a gal with a sloop vs a gall
