Alright legends, back for another review on the MOW TIME channel. This video I will take you through my likes and dislikes of these Solo sprayers. In particular the Solo 461 manual pump sprayer, Solo 406Li battery sprayer and the Solo 414Li battery sprayer.
Do you own one? Let me know your thoughts in the comments.

The battery!! 442 last at least 6 hours no problem...i get a day full spraying no worries. Much better than that brick battery the stihl option...

100%. Mine have been great. One small issue with one of them having a internal battery line come loose, but Solo just fixed it under warranty. 😀 👍

Yes Ben, I agree with you on the literage marking issue. It's a common problem on lots of products. It's a result of designers of products not being the end user. They just don't understand the problem and it probably costs extra to have the scale a different colour. Good comprehensive review. Thanks.

I just draw over those (or the ones I would refer to the most) with a permanent marker. :)

Even cheap sprayers have clear lines marked in black (and bold). More 'frictions' against buying! I was going to buy the 465 (5 L) but I can't be bothered now! My cheap spray doesn't spray properly at the nozzle (serious fault!). Might have to get a design that is simple, effective and a joy to use!

Would be nice if they also had a place to mount the wand when it is not being used.

Agreed Richard. That was actually another con I forgot to mention. There “mounts” pretty much do nothing as you could tell by the wand falling down in the middle of the video.

A nice telescopic one would be awesome...probablynot viable with the plastic and chemical abrasion

The gasket is just wear and tear from cheap rubber and the chemicals. I work in sub to the council and i have used so much and cant say thats happened much. However today my new 442 hose decided to slide down and started leaking. Checked and its a different clamp to usual....unsure at this point but ill find it out...

Great review Mate. I have a 414 and have had all the issues you outlined, from the lid gasket, to the lid breather going MIA as well as the frustrating markings in the side of which I got a permanent black marker and drew over the markings to make it much easier to read. Now I’m having dramas with the connection of the battery cutting in and out and having to shake it on my back to restart. I’m going to call Solo to see what their thoughts are as the units only 18 months old and used in a domestic application. Keep up the great content mate👍

Hey Craig Thanks for the support on the channel. Ye, I’ve heard a number of people with similar experiences. Sounds like you have the wiring problem to. Mine was doing that. Pretty sure it’s just a simple repair at your local solo stockist mower shop. Mines been fine since the warranty repair. Have a great week mate 👍🏻😀

I just use a sharpie on the ones that are clear...unfortunately doesnt last all that long...

Heres my thoughts these companies had so much time to make these fixes they just dont want to its all by design to keep you purchasing the next best thing but then that will have issues also this is way the world works sucks make the best of it & stop buying from these companies thats my opinion

Ye mate. I scratch my head thinking, ‘such a simple thing to rectify’ some times. Why don’t they do it in the factory. Could also as a lot of things been down to keeping costs low to keep sale price low/competitive. Have a great week mate 🙂👍🏻
