All four movies were really bad! If I had to rank them best to worst, it would be 1. The Last Jedi 2. Solo 3. Rogue One 4. The Force Awakens

Well, if we're ranking things, I'd have them this way: The Force Awakens Solo Rogue One The Last Jedi Also, just because I ranked TLJ last doesn't mean I believe it was a bad movie. My main concern about TLJ is how it affects the story thread for the third film; possibly they gave Johnson too much freedom concerning plot elements and we're going to get a lot of "from a certain point of view" moments in E9.

13:30 that hidden compartment was where Luke and the others hid is the same one from solo. However it is not the same compartment that was is force awakens. In force awakens ham and chewie find Rey and Finn in a compartment that was in the same room as the holo chess table.

It was the same panel Han and Chewie were using to try and fix the hyperdrive in ESB, not the smuggling compartment.

This movie was GREAT! So under-rated by fans. They should make a sequel! And btw that was funny "I just love that walking carpet" haha. You do a good efficient witty rundown NR! To answer your question I thought all three characters/actors were great. They made it their own which is a good way to go.

The red Mandalorian armour is actually Mandalorian Crusader armour, it's a nod to the Old Republic and the KotOR games, the crusaders were 2 waves (crusaders and neo-crusaders) of Mandalorians who went on a campaign to build an empire, the latter which ended up fighting a massive war against the old republic, resulting in the near destruction of both the Mandalorians and the Old Republic. (Back in the Old Republic era the Mandalorians owned many planets and were much more of a military nation than in the movie era)

The fuel is held in the same smuggling compartments where Han and co. hide after being caught by the Death Star. But that is not where Rey and Finn hide in The Force Awakens. They hide in a maintenance pit in the cargo hold (similar to one Han is in when the tool box falls on him in Empire Strikes Back). The smuggling compartment is in the corridor.

Yep! Chewbacca was the star of this movie for me. It was nice seeing him more apposed to just seeing him floating about in scenes, in the backgrounds. So were there meant to be more movies with Solo? seemed like it was opening up that idea for future adventures.

I haven't read through many of the comments so maybe someone else brought this up but I don't think you mentioned anything about L33T and the connection with Vuffi Raa from the Lando Calrissian novels. I thought it was the biggest and most welcome surprise of the movie (as a homage). I never really understood exactly what Raa was - part droid, part sentient? It's been maybe 15 yrs since I read Lando's books. He and L33T had very different roles. You know all this, I'm sure, but in the book Lando needed a pilot after he acquired the Falcon and also someone to teach him how to fly, so that's where Vuffi Raa came in. I loved Solo for all the references to the EU. It deserved recognition. Rogue One is my favorite installment since probably ESB but I was disappointed with its blatant disregard to all previous media.

One of Han's costumes in this is very similar to the original cut scene from ANH where he meets Jabba The Hutt, where Jabba is played by a human, Han is partially wearing Jabba's costume.

I just saw the movie. the original came out when I was 13. saw it a dozen times. Solo was my fav character (swoon). and while I don't swoon any more, I could still sit through this movie a dozen times. the downside I thought, was that it was so explanatory. the solo novels stood on their own, and this could have too. but loved it.

The aesthetic of Solo and Rogue One more than eclipses that of TFA and TLJ. They feel so much more like Star Wars movies than the latter. I was so happy this movie wasn't as bad as some people were saying it was.

you talk about a reference (#5) I think but you forgot to mention it is also a reference to Star Trek : Into darkness , in a way because its approximately the same scene when Kirk is with spoke and Uhura in a ship that isn't from Star fleet on Kronos when they are chased by a Klingon ship in an abandoned part of the planet looking for Khan played by Benedict Cumberbatch (or "Harrison" at that moment in the film)

I'm so glad to hear that Rio isn't voiced by Zack Braff,there was a few times that got me nervous. oh and by the way this movie was exactly what the star wars fans needed. the money just doesnt say so. i loved it,didnt go into it expecting to, but i had a great time and some really good laughs and i'm so happy that Ron howard directed it. Excellent take on a Star Wars movie.

I really want to see a Solo 2 with the Huts, and more bounty hunters like Boushh before Leia got his armor. Not sure if there will ever be a Solo 2, but there deserves to be. It was the best Star Wars film since Return of the Jedi and the Ewok movies.

Great job referencing all these easter eggs. The red "Rally Master" armor in Vos' office goes way back before Maul. I'm not sure your reference is correct unless perhaps Maul brought that same armor back during his reign on Mandalor? Also, the first deal with Jabba is not the deal that Han got stuck in 10 years later in Ep. 4. If dropping that shipment happened before he became Jabba's best smuggler... then Han would've already paid that debt by then. We're also speculating that it's Jabba... though that is pretty obvious I wouldn't use the words "of course." Maybe "most likely" or something like that. "Of course" indicates fact & though it's very likely... it is not a fact yet. Maybe Jabba has a minion that Han works for as a trial or something. Just saying that it's not a fact yet.

As a life long Star wars fan and realising the philosophy of Star wars and every mythology around the world has the same essence. I think it is a very good film the person who played the young Han solo done a very good job. You found out how Han got the name Solo, when he joined the imperial academy. Where the possible idea of the thermal designated came from. What I found funny was Han was asked at the end of the film if he wanted to join the rebels as year later he would join the rebels. Again t showed how Han always done the right thing even at a cost to his self.

the mando armor is mando rally master armor from the old republick, it was held in a museam and then disapeard belived to be stollen. an identical set was found with the imperials and later sufesd with vos where you see it now

Jabba was part of a Kadjic, the Star Wars equivalent of a mafia family. There are very many Hutt families on Nal Hutta, and the richest is not Jabba's but Durga's from Shadows of the Empire. They are called Besadii.

I know right, everyone acting as if it drastically effects his character, but also Lando in this film is one of the best things about it. Soo. And if anyone would have romantic entanglement (barely any, only implied... slightly) with a droid in the star wars universe... it's Lando. And it was just a random interview sooo... who gives a shit
