This Stealth Camp Solo Adventure begins with Luke the Lone Wolf being dropped off at a park on the outskirts of a city. From there he connects, travels, and crosses multiple trails, roads and fields as he remains hidden...
Hiding in Plain Sight!
Rain is on the way and his goal is to get in and out before it hits....but things don't go according to plan....

I've stealth camped in England when I was homeless. I could probably run an army training course. Nothing beats experience and it becomes a state of mind, almost addictive. You almost breath invisible after a time. The birds are your early warning system too. You become one with the environment, almost soaking into it. Patience as well, always patience.

Don't people usually breath invisible? Unless it's cold enough, your breath shouldn't show XD. Also The birds really do work well as an alarm. I tend to wake up once the birdsong starts.

I've stealth camped when homeless too, don't see the addictiveness of it though. Got very good but I still remember the terror when I had to dry out my tent and probably retiree day hikers came across the side path where I had hung my tent up at. Had no other option, I mean, couldn't pack it back up soaked. But it was early dawn, 6 or 7 AM - I didn't expect anyone much less 4 startled older folks. More power to you but idk if I could do it again. Proud that I did when I needed to, but if those day hikers had gone back to their car and reported me to the cops, I might not be in the much better place I am now. Idk.

Enjoyable video. I love wild camping. One thing experience has taught me to carry is a camouflage rucksack rain cover. As well as keeping the rucksack drier, if it rains, it also allows me to drop the rucksack and camouflage it if I don't fancy carrying it while I scout out an area, or gather resources. Keep on camping and posting.

Thanks for all your great videos Luke! Those small military GoreTex types of bivy-shelters are not made for civilian camping, stealth or not. Their purpose is for a soldier to quickly roll out, get a little sleep, pack up and move out again. It's low profile, and matte fabric makes it well concealed in most terrains, even without a camo-net. The fabric is thick enough that you can use a flashlight inside without being compromised. They are resistant to hard field use, fire sparks, and chemicals where a civilian tent would break, tear, or melt. In this type of shelter you are supposed to just get some quick rest. Nothing else. The soldiers leave most of their gear outside under their rain jacket or poncho. Sleeping with their clothes on, with weapon, and boots beside them. If you want to stealth camp in comfort I recommend a civilian olive green dome tent combined with a hunters camo-net. Although with a larger profile, the rounded dome shape blends well into the terrain for sufficient concealment. Then you have both comfort, and stealth. Do you know what piece of gear is the most compromising in this video? It's your shiny ground-sheet that will reflect the moonshine from miles away. The bright Hi-Vis lines are actually a good stealth choice as they are not visible from a distance, and your loud swearing as you trip over dark lines at night creates a much higher risk of being compromised :) Best regards from The Swedish Army!

I do not understand why this comment has not more likes. I would add from my personal experience (Bundeswehr), that we’ve also had scenarios where we kept our boots on during our nap. We were just loosing the laces. Most often it was an individual decision by each soldier.

I, a civilian, stealth camp on a military installation every Saturday. Using a slumberjack dst, along with a hihiker pad and pillow, bottle of water and leftovers in a freezer bag. My spot is under a satellite where military police patrol occasionally but never expect someone to be there. Adrenaline is elevated, comfort is limited but satisfaction is obtained.

Your choice of music made me think of Gordon Ramsay. I love your stealth camp trips, definitely my favorite. I was motivated by your videos to set out and try it myself. I had nothing. But over time i got the gear, a usgi bivy I bug proofed. Scouted a local city owned lake. Hiked it out and was ready to give it a try. In the meantime my Wife’s health declined and now needs constant attention. So I gave up on the stealth trip, got to stay close to her. I guess that’s the Honor in Strength and Honor. We’ve been married 43 years and she’s worth more than stealth camp to me. But! As I watched this video I noticed my neighbors back yard, hum do I dare?

I live in Oregon. I am very familar with Tillamook. YOU pronounced the name correctly. Most people don't. Good for you Luke. Tillamook used to be known for it's cheese and had a cheese factory there, which I toured several times. Due to the economy they now ship much of their cheese products to Wisconsin to be packaged and re-ship back to OREGON, which puzzles most of us Oregonians. Tillamook is known for it's cows and dairy products--also other cottage industries. This area puts out many excellent food products and prides it self on using "all natural products" espcecially for export out of state. I am sure the company in Tillamook who produced that food packet will be proud to know you liked the food so much. I am glad Oregon is exporting excellent goods. Blessings from Oregon! PS: Based on your recommentdations: I purchased Nature Hike camp chairs, 2 of them, one for my Dad for Father's day and one for myself. Because we like things BIG for comfort, I went the next size up, even though weight wise we did not need it. I am glad we did--as the large chair is more comfortable. My Dad is 83 and I am 61. Bothh of us have hand and wrist problems, with tendonitis and arthritis. IT took us 30 minutes to stretch that canvas enough to be able to put those chairs together! THAT canvas is tough. WE are leaving the chairs put together for the picnic on Saturady--June 15, 2024 as we hope the canvas will stretch. Word to seniors buy8ng those chairs--it is really really hard to put those chairs together and if you have arthritis or tendonitis in your wrists or hands--YOU might need another person to help you. Sugestion Luke--you might warn people of this--I just thought it took a little muscle, which I have from weight lifting--NO it takes a lot of muscle! Thank you though as we love those chairs! June 12, 2024. Love the video!!

Great video. I love getting up on a foggy morning while camping and listen to the quiet. Everything is still except for maybe a bird or two... Sipping on a hot cup coffee or chocolate. Oh, yesss! (Your photography is beautiful!)

Having spent 5 years in the Army Reserves here in Australia, I can attest to the fact that 'Stealth Camping' isn't the art of hiding your camp in the dark of night, but the light of day... You move at night, and camp in the day...

@@hasonpoy My love of camouflage and concealment meant that I became interested in applying to the SASR regiment, however, I found much better paid opportunities in the civilian world, and I was becoming very tired of the 'bro culture' in the Army, and I was acutely aware of how much worse it is in the SASR, which was pretty much confirmed when the investigations into SASR war crimes became public. Many of them are like 'blue blood' cops, and will protect their own, even when their own are committing heinous crimes against the Geneva Convention. As a full-blown fan of following the rules, I knew the service wasn't for me, however, I'll never forget the physical and mental lessons I learnt in the Army..

Love these notifications! Woohoo...so we have a trail that goes through town and it stretches for I would say about 25 miles....mostly through residential areas, but there are some places where someone can scoot off and not be seen....but we do have some that take advantage of that and leave trash and such that my kids and I go clean up on the weekends when we can...anyway a couple weeks back I hiked about 3 miles in and tucked myself way up under a bridge and hid out for hours just watching nature and nobody noticed I was there....kinda felt like a kid again....it was awesome...I might have stayed, but a curious coyote scared me off...I didn't want to get eaten lol

I read the dark by contrast of the levels of shadows in the dark and the sound of what I give off bouncing around and off of objects, also I count my steps while using photographic memory of my surroundings in the last of the daylight of up to either the closest tall grass line (concealment) or Rock crop and/or tree cluster if I need to be out and about also I prepare everything before nightfall to not have to leave a 2 meter circle inside camp and if so I leave inexpensive doubles of nessary equipment off sight and count back steps and break to recount at turns back to the tent I don't use light at all in stealth camping And can't afford n.v.g.s, lol

I rarely use any light source at night...Too much chance of being spotted. So when I do, I use my hand to envelope the light so it only produces a narrow beam, and only when I need to find something, else I rely on my night vision.

Here in the UK most wild camping in lowland areas has to be done quite stealthily. I sometimes even take a small camouflage net. I sometimes make a small fire but am very careful about where and when...woodland and forests and only when it's not too dry. Arrive late and leave early and you can camp almost anywhere.

But that's were my experience really ends. last year I took up small game hunting learned alot threw that awsell. Love watching these kind of videos as you know we're forever updating our packs and knowledge lol. As for the meal I've seen alot of people dabble in this company threw the MRE review video groups seems to get great reviews!

So I’m basically your neighbor and I have a theory on the weather. Every time I try to ride my motorcycle the weather flops on me. Even if the forecast is completely clear, if I ride my bike, it rains. Never fails, I could put money on it. So I must’ve rode when you filmed this.
