Hello my name is ryly and i was woundering if there was any way u could send me one of your light sabers i was really trying ti start doing more content and just learn some of the styles im also a really big star wars fan.
@@Irons_Spider they’re far cheaper, i can understand the appeal, however i believe the organically grown swords are far better in quality and appearance.
I play smash ultimate competitively, like I travel out to tournaments on the weekends, and practice every day. It’s interesting the parallels of improvement I see from your video, this is exactly how I and other players improve in the game. “Well I was having a lot of trouble dealing with Mario’s projectile, what can I start doing to deal with it better?”
I don't see this comment enough, so here goes: You are all great warriors. You are all artists with your movements. You are all great teachers, spreading info and learning in enjoyable ways. We greatly appreciate you all. Never change. Love from Canada 🇨🇦
that's exactly what i do, with videogames and in real life martial arts. i think of a situations that i experienced or just witnessed, even just on tv or youtube, and i try to find a counter. even just by thinking about it, maybe while i am working, and then try out the techniques when i go home.
I like that it's becoming obvious which form of fencing you basically specialize in. Like, you know how to fight with different swords and different techniques for different styles of swords, but you clearly have a passion for German Longsword fencing, always bringing up techniques from that style.
This is actually a good thing to do in any kind of martial art practice I do the same with my Muay Thai training it's amazing to see how much martial arts are so similar to each other while being so distant
I've been working with Maces for 3 years now but in the past few weeks I've started experimenting with aerobic varied striking movements done rhythmically and with task and purpose but with a focus on cardio. I tried to find directional videos to this effect and this led me to your video today good work enjoy the content
Imagine in the future where we have robots that can copy a persons movements and repeat them like fighting game training modes letting u have the npc record then replay inputs
If you can get a long coil or spring, you wouldnt have to reset that (assuming you dont knock it loose) Just get one end around the stick, and wrap it atound (or get it otherwise stuck on) the target
Would you be interested in trying out hook swords for sparring & learning? since there is a technique for reverse grip which has more use than normal swords, id love to see you learn and have fun with that weapon type
I took some basic fencing, both rapier and broadsword, over 20 years ago. I want to get back into it. Any study material suggestions? I could use a point in the right direction. Thanks in advance!
What about a Scandinavian great sword, they have really long handles. And I’d like to know some techniques for it since the length of my lightsaber handle is close to the length of the handle of the Scandinavian greatsword
Is there any book on longsword fighting or video which teaches defense like blocking and parrying....I literally can't find anything on defensive techniques..
I have a genuine question about reverse grip yes bad but would it work if you dual wielded ie ahsoka tano? Or if not that on way the reverse grip with a short sword or a half sword in one hand and a standard size sword in the other? And using the small sword more as a defensive weapon?
My friend just swings randomly and usually at my sword So I normally don’t get to learn how to counter Because he rarely actually hits He uses full force and he loves dueling me so the spirit is in him He just lacks common sense or the ability to learn from mistakes (He thinks he can knock my blade away from me with a really powerful strike)
