Nov is kind of the rainy season's grande hurrah. The "icy" thing is called a respado. There are, I believe, 6 cathedrals in Casco (there's a tour), 1 being the church of the Golden alter where the gold was melted and alter painted to keep the pirates from stealing it. The highway is the Cinta Costera. The birds are parroqueets. They do the "screaming" at sunrise and sunset. You can also find them in the El Cangrejo neighborhood. A decade ago, Casco was a mostly abandoned ghetto full of squatters and trees growing through the roofs of the buildings. You didnt dare walk down most streets during the day let alone at night. Hopefully the govt will take some of that same money that comes into that same canal and fix Colon on the Caribbean side which was as beautiful yet still suffers from the same poverty that once owned Casco.

Hey Melissa, no worries at all. To be honest, a lot of people in Panama speaks English!! They learn both Spanish and English at school so i am sure you can get by 👌🏼👌🏼💫

You can get by in many areas. There is a lot of English spoken here. Not as much as you'd think after the Canal Zone having been occupied by the US for so many years but still doable. The city incl Casco, El Cangrejo, San Francisco and more are reasonably bilingual then expat settlements like El Valke de Anton. Boquete, Cotonado/Gorgona and Volcan Baru as well. But...why not learn a little bit so that you can REALLY experience the culture.
