I did tons of solo travel in my 30's, from coast to coast & even to Scotland & England. I tell every young person I meet TRAVEL!! Even if you don't have the money. Find a way. Because now I have medical conditions that make it impossible to travel. But oh, the memories I have... ☺💖

My parents live in southern MD, and can take day trips to St. Michael's. It's such a quaint little town. I love everything and anything by the water! So glad you had a nice time - wish you'd have had more sunshine!
Hey Michel, I'm literally SO happy you got to visit Maryland! I lived in Maryland for most of my childhood and actually have visited both Annapolis and Saint Michael's a few times. Both places are just so stunning! Maryland is definitely a place that will always be close to my heart for many reasons, especially the scenery, flag, lessons, and beautiful friendships. Just found your divorce video and honestly I felt like crying when I was watching it. I was gaslighted in my last relationship too. Sometimes it's hard to listen to our gut feelings. It's funny that some people are lucky and they find the right person the first time around and they never have to think that they aren't enough or that there's something wrong with them. The truth is, there's never anything wrong with us. We just have to find the right person who would love every part of us without us having to tweak ourselves for them.
It's so fun to see a place you're so used to seen through someone else's eyes. Lived in MD my whole life near views like that and have been to this place. It's so refreshing to see someone so excited by it. While I've ever been to Texas and would love to go 🥰🥰 so cool!!
If you like this lighthouse you would be blown away by Florida's st.augustine ponce inlet Light house at 175 ft tall. It would make a wonderful December trip because they put up lights in the town every year!! Lots of fun activities to do as well.

Living in Maryland, it’s a nice place to be. I especially love the fall and winter so much. This vlog is just giving me more encouragement to solo travel on my own; I’m not in the financial place to do so, but hopefully I can soon.
@@MichelJanse When I first moved to MD from California, it took time to adjust. But I truly think God made it so this season of my life is here because I have had so much growth personally. Nature is a blessing, and I don’t think a lot of people really appreciate the magic and healing it has to give. I’m glad you’re enjoying this season of your life where you are seeing the world, and I pray wherever you’re guided to in life, there is always abundance to be had💕.
I did a lot of solo travel in my 20s and 30s and it really helped me build inner strength and learn to be my own friend! Now that I’m in my 40s and married, I still take little trips on my own every so often :)

I went gluten free for 3 years and it was so difficult to find options. I finally went back to eating limited gluten. I do not have Celiac Disease just thyroid issues. I am happy you included trying to eat gluten free. Love the video! ❤

First of all, it's so beautiful to see how you've evolved since your divorce. You've really grown into your true self. It is such a joy watching you enjoy the little pleasures in life. I love how you said you were connecting with your inner child by dangiling your legs off the pier. I miss that feeling, I have rheumatoid arthritis and can't physically get down like that anymore. Lovely clog and solo travelling is great. My Dad worked on building wooden boats for a time and there is something wonderful about them and the craftsmanship was something else.

East coast is definitely the best, but as a Virginia native I'm partial! LOL!!! St. Michaels is wonderful, we went there for our honeymoon and some anniversary trips. They used to have a lot of amazing B&Bs there. The Inn at Perry Cabin is especially beautiful. If you like lighthouses, you need to go to the Outer Banks of NC (OBX). There are 4 you can visit there, much taller. As for your artwork, I believe that was a schooner, but it does have sails so you are partially correct. Glad you had a fabulous time!!

You absolutely have to go to German Village on the outskirts of Columbis, Ohio. We do a girls weekend there every fall in October. It is the most quaint village that feels like you are in a Hocus Pocus scene. The homes are decorated unbelievably for Halloween and the whole small town has the most charming restaurants, stores, bakeries etc that you can walk to everything. Please get an Airbnb and go there for a weekend in October. You will not be disappointed

I've been stuck in bed thanks to chronic health stuff and this put such a smile on my face seeing you so happy. My best friend and I keep talking about going on a solo single mums trip and I really hope we can get through the rest of the hard stuff and get to relax. That would be amazing. I need to build a mini house instead and we are living in a bus until then. I'm so grateful to not be homeless anymore; yet people still look down on me. I can't wait to prove them how capable I am one day!

Watching this video was bittersweet. My husband and I have done a lot of Sunday through Wednesday traveling, and I'm honestly really tired of it. We do this because I'm a church musician, so it's easier to leave after church on a Sunday, and then come home in time to be ready for the next Sunday. But it's so frustrating when everything is closed, or operating at half capacity with a limited menu/limited options.

I know you love lighthouses. Not sure if you have any interest, but you can also climb the lighthouse at tybee island georgia. Its one of my fav vacation spots as someone who is from GA and doesnt live there anymore.
Finding a good hotel on a budget is a talent. I think a cool vlog would be to find one within a budget that's still decent and interesting. Then list pros and cons.
I’m excited to see all your adventures! I probably sound like a weird wannabe mom and I just hope it doesn’t creep you out lol but I’m 39, never married and have spina bifida so I have a lot of health challenges which makes me relate to you often. Right now I am waiting to have my 63rd surgery. When I recover I am considering getting on RU-vid to try to start a community of support for people who may not have support in their lives or even just people who are more understanding.
