wonderful trip ! so peaceful and enjoyable! i love travelling alone too because thats how i can really taste the food i want to eat without upsetting others !
I like this video for its brevity and to the point. Probably it’s because there is already a flood of long videos about China from so many foreign travellers and RU-vidrs. Her nervousness likely stamped from being alone and first time. Brave and adventurous. I believe she is going to do Bowdoin College proud and may gain more traction in her future videos.
Looks absolutely amazing! My in-laws were just there last year. They go back twice a year and tell us how awesome China has become and we can’t wait to go!
As a Xi'an native working in Sydney, I came across your video during work hours. I can't play the sound and watch it in full, but I can still feel from some clips that this is a very thoughtful video. Good job.
You should slowly adapt to be with a lot of people. I'm Malaysian, not used to it when I first in China but over the period I start to adapt and in fact I appreciate the crowds and blend with them. Don't use the perspective of what we used to live around but open our mind and observed what's happening around us (in China) and it will be interesting and fun
You can judge how developed a country is by how often the drivers in that country honks. In Southeast Asia, where most countries are less developed than China, drivers honk very often. If you go to India, which is less developed than Southeast Asian, the Indian drivers literally honk non-stop. And within China itself, you can see that drivers in the most developed cities such as Shanghai, Shenzhen, Beijing and Guangzhou will honk less than drivers in cities such as Xi'an and Wuhan. And when you go to South Korea, the Korean drivers will honk less than the Chinese, and if you go to Tokyo, the Japanese drivers almost never honk.
Xi'an is the ancient capital of thirteen dynasties in China, and its historical heritage far exceeds that of other cities in China. I hope you have a great time. Xi'an's snacks are also very famous, and you can go and taste them if you have the opportunity.

You can't get any hotel / motel rooms for $50 USD in the USA or Europe, you might be able to get a flea bitten / smelly / run downed room in the drug infested / street walker / high crime area of most major US cities by the hour.
She's doing a vlog in Xian, why you even mention US or Europe for? If your watching a vlog on LA, London or Rome, do you comment to say "In China, we can get X Y Z for ...". Relax, just enjoy her video.
50 USD you can get only a motel room with very poor rating in Massachusetts. Everything is over priced here. 😒 Traveling during National day long vocation week of 7 days in China is very challenging, unless you don't mind to be submerged by huge crowd everywhere. May vlog shows the muslim food walking street that could be a lot of fun in Xi'an.
In your sentence context, "another cup of coffee" should be 多一杯咖啡, but not 再一杯咖啡。 "Another" in this context is 多(Duo) not 再(Zai). But in a slightly different sentence context, “再喝一杯咖啡” or “多喝一杯咖啡” are both fine.
Ur Chinese is perfect. Is it pork or lamb or other halah in 肉夹馍, especially when it is sold by muslim? I always got that concern and forget asking in Xi'an. I bet people there don't care that much.
This is just a question/curious on my part....🤔....does u and other westerners who are doing this kind of content are actually friendly or friends wt Expats or ABA (ALL west BORN/BOIN ASIAN) in your own country or just to fools us for CONTENTS in Asia Major, Asia Minor, EurAsia (Slavic part not whoite part) ASEAN & GlobalSouth population that u all are same kindred spirits like us...???.🤔.... only PRIVIET NIHAO maybe Salam from ASEAN 🤘
How come the way you hold your camera looks so uncomfortable and tiring? Other vloggers, they look more natural and you cannot even see their arms stretched out holding their cameras. Also, the sound is not really audible.
The automatically generated English language on your video cannot appear in Chinese characters when selecting Auto Translate into Chinese. You may be using the wrong method or software when editing the video. It's a pity that many chinese missed this video because most Chinese people don't understand English.
