Shikoku has always been one of my favourite areas of Japan but I really didn't realise just how much stuff there is to do here. This was one of the most in-depth, chill and insightful trips I've ever been on, so thank you Shikoku tourism for sponsoring this trip.

That was such a beautiful experience Hannah. Thank you for taking me there. I love your relaxed storytelling with so many intriguing people and all the crafts you explored. I was hooked from the very first shot. Your attention to detail in your camera compositions and the beauty of your aerial photography drew me into your serene and humbled experience. Such a tranquil way to end the year. Thank you again and I so look forward to your exciting year ahead.

The artisanship on display in these shops you always visit is staggering. Dedication to traditional crafts is sort of coming back in the states, but boy can you see it never stopped being en vogue in Japan. Beautiful to see that you can cling to tradition without sacrificing ingenuity. So funny that you felt these tourism sponsor videos were getting impersonal, but I'll say this one was distinctly Hannah in all the ways we appreciate. Your eye for cinematography continues to improve. Excited for what is to come!

I'm sure it's true for most your trips but it feels like you met many gems of people in Shikoku. The care each of them took in teaching you an art form made me so happy I got emotional. Yes I'm silly but you have a wonderful way of showcasing others and the beauty around you. Can't wait to see what you're excited to show us and happy holidays!

Shikoku is also famous for its 88-temple pilgrimage of temples. The pilgrimage was established by the ancient Buddhist priest Kūkai, a native of Shikoku.

Wow! Winter canyoneering... I do a lot of canyoneering (沢登り), guiding kids and adults in the summer, but it's not something my mind tends to go towards when the water and air are ice cold! Impressed with your spirit and gumption! And that handmade soba...yum! Your videography and editing skills are always impressive, and I learn a lot each time I watch one of your pieces. I hope you don't stray too much from your travel videos, especially the hiking ones. They are the main reason I visit your channel. よいお年を!

Hello! I wanted to ask if you could recommend any for-hire drivers in Shikoku? I’ve heard from friends who visited that it’s best explored by car… But my friends and I can’t drive. Would be ever so grateful if you had any advice on this.

Hi Hannah, just had to say thanks for this video. I absolutely love Shikoku and especially Setonaikai. I’m glad you so thoroughly enjoyed Teshima Art Museum. I have been there several times and it’s high on my list of beautiful experiences. On my last trip I got to experience it as there was a storm and rain was coming through the oval. Amazing! I wonder what it would be like on a starry night? You probably learned that next year (2022) is the Setouchi Triennale art festival happens in the region. It is fantastic and you should definitely return to experience that. It occurs spring, summer and fall. Happy new year!

I really appreciate that in Japan they occupied old people to learn traditional craft and techniques. And I´m surprised, how emotional the japanese people are. I didn´t expect it. Well, unfortunatelly I haven´t been in Japan at all. Hannah, thank you for your great videos, so inspiring... the´re are warming more than others (f. e. Harmen Hoek, better technique, less emotions). Curious question, does Hannah actually speak Japanese, or is it just “foreigner level”. Never seen her actually respond in Japanese to the hosts and it’s always English as the “default” for the majority of responses. If she can, layering that into the videos would make it feel more grounded, and “real”.
