Born in Sydney 78 years ago. Caught the "Manly Ferry" a thousand times on my way to Manly Beach, past the Sydney Opera House in my teens/20+ something years, it took 15 years to build. My mother and father purchased a house in the suburb of Ryde, 8 miles N/W out of Sydney, 2 b/r with some later modifications by new owners. They paid 600 Aus pounds/Aus $1200 then in 1941. It was recently sold for Aus$1.5 million dollars. It's still the same 2 br house made out of Oregon Pine, built in 1932. After 78 years I can still get an Opal Pass for $2.50 a day and travel anywhere on Govt transport bus, train, ferry. I never get tired of it and I'm still quite fit? hmmm. I now live in Western Australia and make frequent trips to Sydney to see my relatives. Coronavirus has stopped travelling interstate for now and is very restricted, as much as overseas travel is... things will only get better we hope?
I’m planning my trip to Sydney now and of course I came to You Tube! I see a BLACK GIRL doing solo travel, immediately yes and subscribe! You are a champ! 15hrs and 2days I love it!
Yes girl !!!!!! It was such an maxing destination !!! Keep me updated on your trip ! I’d love to know how it’s going ! And thank you so much ❤️ sis was being spontaneous 😂
Wow youre an incredibly strong woman traveling by yourself and fulfilling your souls needs. I looked up Australia travel vlog and this was the first American one to show up!
Not surprised you loved the coffee. We “kicked out” starburst for their coffee because ours coffee is the bomb. And that you loved the food, we have brilliant food too.
I only ever bought 1 cup of Starbucks Coffee in my life in Chiang-mai Northern Thailand 7 years ago, it was so bad and weak I've never been into any of their places since. It was 3 times the price of the sweet little lady's coffee just near the Chaing-mai gate who made a beautiful cappuccino with a beautiful smile.
If you ever decide to come back to Australia, you should come to Melbourne, it’s great down here! But another place that is great is Brisbane. They have awesome beaches up there.
Sydney Harbour is spectacular! It’s huge & there’s a lot of amazing scenery, nothing compares to it. There’s a mix of people & cultures, which changes depending where you go in Sydney & if your in popular tourist areas... ✌️😎
Was this your first time in Australia ? Did you enjoy your time in Australia ? And if so will you tell your friends and family all about how cool Australia 😎 is ....
Soooo glad u enjoyed my city. It is an amazing place, laid back, friendly and has ALL you’d like to do and see. Thank you for liking the place!! Cheers from Oz 🍷🍷🌹🌹🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺
I’m also from syd and hearing people talk about how amazing Sydney harbour is etc is kind of shocking to me as I’m so used to it, however if I went to a different country things they find normal would be new and exciting for us
2 says was definitely not enough, it was a spontaneous trip I wished I could’ve extended but time difference and having to get back to work for in the way ! I loved the whole experience
I know what you mean, but I also think that it is amazing that only just when my grandmother was her age it would have taken weeks or even months to travel that far, so the fact that she can go that far, see a place for a couple of days and get back within a week is something we take way too much for granted.
So I'm 22 which means not a huge budget for traveling😅 How do you afford to go to so many places? Do you have any tips? I want to go to Sydney, but I know it's pretty expensive:)
@@yesseniarodriguez6248 work hard, save money and buy tickets whenever there's specials Which right now there's really none lol Also having my own business makes it easy for me to schedule time off
Hope to meet up when you visited again Sydney!!! I’m here giving my love to your channel with bell all!!! More success to your channel sweet girl!! Keep safe and stay connected!!!
How long is the flight I hate flying if I’m not mistaken its 22 hours ? I’m a huge Aaliyah fan and she was there recording her music and had to do a 22 hour flight back to us
There are trips like hers that are 15 hours they are just hella expensive so congrats to her for being able to afford it reasonable flights are definitely 22 hours or longer😃)
Nice and same im thinking about traveling to Gold coast Australia in 2023 and staying like 2 weeks(she said in a different comment it was a spontaneous trip and 2 days was not enough)
I noticed that you promoted this particular video. That's a fantastic thing - how did you do it? How much did it cost? Could you share your experience with this "youtube ad experience"? Would be appreciated :)
Omg!!! I plan to visit there in 2024 because I will be 30th and I would love to celebrate my 30th birthday there. P.s my sister wants to join but she afraid of the spider and snake. But my question did you see any?
i know this video was 2 years ago, but GIVE ME ADVICE!! help me!! i’m flying to sydney in 3 weeks and i have HORRIBLE anxiety/panic disorder and i’ve never flown by myself and especially never taken a 14 hour plane ride! is there anything you could give me to help ease my mind because i’m so stressed and anxious and it’s 3 weeks away😳
Hey love ! You’re going to love it !!! The flight was very relaxing even tho it was such a long flight it’ll be worth it ! The public transit is AMAZING if you aren’t renting a car it’s right in the airport if you have an iPhone put in the address you’re going to and click the little train picture next to the little walking person picture and it will tell you which train and buses to take to get to your destination! Feel free to message me while you’re there if you have any questions! I promise you’re going to love it :)
I. From Australia and I prefer Tasmania better than sydney because Tasmania is so beautiful and has fresh air I went there and it was amazing cleanest air to cradle mountain is good to go to too
NubbyRBX Amen! I’m from Texas born lived grew up there till 1987 I moved to Tasmania to work for 2 years but I married and been here ever since. I love going to Sydney for culture etc is great! Arts entertainment, food! But Tasmania has the freshest air and great animals easy to get around in a rental car or take bus trips to cradle mountain Hobart the Huon below Hobart! But you need weeks not days hit me up if you come back and I’ll give you the Tasmania experience! The East coast of Tassie is beautiful such white sand and beautiful water but you won’t want to swim the water...it is never warm enough for me! But my child that grew up in this climate loved it just jumped Into a wet suit and took off! The thing about traveling around Australia you have to pic your time of year! You came in our winter! It can be cold till September or October( you can get warm days but nights can be cool if the wi do is up) ...you always need a jacket when the sun goes down! If you come in the winter go to Uluru where “the rock” ( used to call it Ayers Rock) is and you can get exposed to native culture! You can take art class from aboriginals in native style of painting! Swim In The pool etc it is too hot to do this In Our summer ... also I went to Brisbane Twice in the summer... I was a teacher here and had to got to a conference and the next time a friend wanted to see more of Australian than Tassie! But I do not recommend traveling in the summer in Queensland... I went up to the Great barrier reef and it was beautiful but you couldn’t used the beaches in January staying in Port Douglas lots of stinging blue bottle creatures! I like Melbourne as the climate isn’t to much different to Tassie but if there is a bush fire like there was Jan 2020 it was horrible.. I had a few days looking around and eating but smoke was bad...I went for an operation in hospital in Melbourne! The markets all over Australia are fun. Great local fair! Always ask where are the markets! Usually a weekend thing! I love Adelaide which is. capitol of South Australia. There are tons of videos on you tube about Australia(look them up for the area you want to visit)... I think you have a better time when you know folks who can show you the great things and give you the heads up about the best time to travel to their part of Australia! I use to only go to Texas at Christmas time (as that is our summer time here and I was a teacher and it was my holiday time)...which I loved the sales and seeing all the family and having Christmas together, but due to family things I was in Texas May 2019,2015 June July 2015 up to October and in 2017 July August 2016 it is too hot in Texas and Oklahoma then! Unless you are going to stay indoor or live in a pool! I haven’t been to the top Darwin and 8 hear it is hot or Western Australia.... some day! I’d love to do train trip to the top and one over the Nullarbor!
Idk how much her ticket was at the time she went but can say currently tickets are anywhere between 1500-1800 currently since ive been looking into going to Australia recently
Yes girl it’s definitely and nope I was not scared at all because ppl where so nice over there and it is one of the safest places to visit in the world by yourself ! 😊
IMadeYouReadThis I’ll be around central mostly n want to find a way out to blue mountains and the zoo, I was in Bankstown for dance nationals and there was a stabbing outside the hotel so that was fun😂
Ashleigh Marie 😂 in those places your probably safer if you are an old person cause it’s full of islanders and their culture has a lot of respect towards old people they are very nice people like Tongans and Samoans
Yep, especially as you were staying in China town… But in reality lots of Asians as it is the pacific region and China, Hong Kong, Singapore, Malaysia, Taiwan and many other Asian countries are our neighbours…
Australian Baristas makes the best coffee in the world. First time I went whale watching I dropped my phone in to the ocean. Second time I went whale watching I dropped my phone in to the ocean. Third time I went whale watching I borrowed my girlfriend's phone. YES, I dropped that too. Whale Watching for me is a curse.
Why go to Australia if you’re only gonna go to Sydney? We have much more interesting places then there and you might get let down by just going to Sydney.
