Seeing places I went to on my trip to Scotland, this past April, is so nice. Hope you enjoyed your trip. I know I did. It was my first time ever leaving the US, and I chose to spend two weeks in Scotland, and the Highlands tour was so worth it. I also did the trip alone, and even though it would’ve been nice to go with someone I had the time of my life. I’d go again for sure. 😁
Nice video, Emily. After I left my very international job, I was in a position to live anywhere in Europe, the US and Canada. I chose Edinburgh for my own reasons, and still love it.
I love this vlog so relaxing definitely have to visit Edinburgh when I visit Ireland make it a extended trip I love how you can get around by train and walk most places hopefully ❤️
Solo travel is amazing, I took my first solo travel abroad last week. I went to Paris, like you said, I meet new people all the time , people came up to me and started conversations. It’s such a wonderful experience traveling alone, complexity, you can do whatever you want , there’s no attachment. I’m looking forward to my next solo adventure. Thank you for sharing your video 👍
glad you loved my home city! If you come back again try the open top bus tour they show you all the places and you can get on and off as often as you like ❤🏴
I enjoyed this, thanks. It was especially nice that you didn't keep banging on about Harry Potter, as most American vloggers seem to do. You recognised that there's a lot more to Edinburgh than the castle and JK Rowling, great writer and feminist that she undoubtedly is.
Hi! I’m planning a day trip with my daughter who’ll be 18months when we come to Edinburgh in April 25, I was wondering if Scotland is easy to travel around via public transports. I’m planning on getting the coach from London, arriving early morning. First stop getting breakfast at going to Calton Hill, then strolling through the town before heading to the zoo then back to the city for ice cream and dinner before our coach back to London at 9:30pm If you have any other child/toddler friendly ideas I’d love to hear!
Hi, I’m not sure about Scotland as a whole, but Edinburgh’s public transport is pretty good. Although I did mostly just walk everywhere. Hope you have a good trip, sounds like you have some nice things planned!
You got lucky with the Kilted Dohut. I was looking it up for when I go to Edinburgh in a few weeks. Google says the it's "permanitly closed" now.......bummer!
The Royal Mile is the most boring street in Edinburgh! You've got the Palace at one end, and the Castle at the other, but everything in between is unremarkable.
Ahh i love this! Been there last year with my bf. This year ill probably go on my first solo trip ever to Edinburgh again. Do you per chance happen to know the name/location of the tour to the highlands??
You should have taken a train through to Glasgow, they have ahighland cow fold in one of their huge parks at Pollok, it also I cludes the Burrell museum
did that hotel have cold AC in the rooms? to me that is a must even when traveling during winter. finding a hotel in edinburgh that is budget friendly but with ac is so hard!
I was so happy to see a Myrtle Beach sweatshirt 💜 we live a few hours from "Dirty Myrtle." Can you share the tour you used for the day trip? Ill be there in the summer and want to check it out. TY 💚
Love Myrtle Beach! The company I went through is Timberbush tours. www.timberbush-tours.co.uk/our-tours/from-edinburgh/1-day-tour/loch-ness-glencoe-highlands
Marie, sweetie, you’re probably an snp person aren’t you? You give Scotland and Scots such a bad name far too often unfortunately. Please stop embarrassing yourself and the rest of us with it.
