I saw the prices for those planters and plants, They are RIDICULIOUS. I have 45 healthy gorgeous house plants. No way in this world would i EVER pay $ 280 for a single planter and one plant. I didnt spend that much ,all together, for all of my plants and planters combined. Trader Joes sells great 10 " plants for $ 12.99 to $ 20.99. Stores like Home Sense sell NICE ceramic planters for $ 8.00 to $ 16.00 on average. It is NOT that hard to properly water any house plant. Lots of them thrive on benign neglect. The single most common reason for plant death is OVERWATERING, not forgetting to water. By their prices, id have to have paid more than $10,000.00 for my plants, THAT IS INSANE. Its a rip off. I would never recommend that company to anyone.
Cheryl has a delightful and engaging personality and I liked her explanation of the design features in her custom house in her preferred location if Durango. All the best to her. 🙏🙏 I’m a Texan too and kudos to Cheryl for devising a way to live where she likes and at the same time facilitate her son’s housing in Austin. I hope he buys it!
Your home is beautiful! In my opinion, you made an excellent choice not having a bedroom in a loft! Nice that your home is big, but still cozy. Prayers for complete healing of your cancer!🙏🏻
@@TinyHouseExpedition Yes! Exactly. I am in remission from breast cancer…when one experiences a life altering illness or traumatic life event you begin to understand what REALLY brings you joy and the urge to simplify and clear out the “noise” of unnecessary “things” is paramount. I started my tiny home journey during my illness when I recognized that I was surrounded by many objects with little value to me and FEW things that I truly loved. Like the keyboard and her sweet dog friend…she made room for what she loves the most. love the stories you bring us….thank you ♥♥♥
Greetings from South Florida 🌴. I'm a 10 year Cancer Survivor ❤ Congratulations on your positive approach to living your best life! Attitude is key. Each day is truly a gift 😊 Thank you for sharing your journey....
Chery't was so relaxed in front of the camera and the video was such a pleasure to view. The Tiny House design looked so inviting, open and it was just so beautiful.
Your home is beautiful. I am a RN who is considering Tiny home living. I had the pleasure of visiting the Colorado area approximately 30 years ago. I visited Denver & Cortez, both areas were beautiful. May you be Blessed, safe and healthy 🙏🙏
Very nice house. Feels reasonable. The only things I would do different is create a place to hang-dry clothes in the shower instead. Any drips could cause cumulative damage. The other is to put the oven on a little platform so the induction burner could slip underneath. Easier to use the induction, and less chance of breaking it pulling it out of the cupboard.
Actually some folks are! Check out our recent tiny house tour on a big lot they own within a tiny home community: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-h4_Zeur8blI.htmlsi=7JqUD4CaHLNCFieR
It's the bylaws that are the issue. We really have to start taking our power back and remembering that the government works FOR us. Not the other way around.
This home is really beautiful. I love her overall design and decor. She’s added lots of cleverly used storage spaces and she’s right about the mirrors and glass front cabinets. Totally loving the wayfair mirror front shoe storage cases. I will be looking for same😊. Smart buy on the rolling storage island.❤️❤️
As a cancer survivor myself, I am so happy to see you living your best life! Your home is beautiful and seems so functional. I love that you have incorporated so many of your pre-owned items. I wish you all the best x
You have planned your home tailored to fit your needs. The island is a good multi functional piece. Good job! Durango is a nice area I use to stop by there in travels. The low humidity is something to appreciate for certain! I pray for victory in your health. 😊 keep playing your piano and praise The Lord! A merry heart does good like a medicìne.
I'm a fellow breast cancer survivor (x2) and I love that she is a nurse and is called to help others in need. Great tiny house; looks very inviting and comfortable. She is precious.
Lol, I am also, a nurse and breast cancer survivor, and I am still working as a nurse x33+ years and pray and thank God for all my blessings. I taught high school history and English and coached varsity girls basketball and softball for 3 years. I
Same! It is difficult to allow others to help when you’re accustomed to being self sufficient or are one who helps others. I finally realized that others WANT to help and feel a bit sad when we turn down their offers of assistance. My first round with breast cancer taught me lessons that I intend to bring to the next round should it (C) come knocking on my door again. Stay well ♥
You have such a beautiful home. It’s my favorite so far! You have such a warm and kind spirit about you, and I pray that spirit will get you through your health battle. Sending love and prayers from Denver! 🩷🙏🏼🩷
For $800 a month for lot care??? Wth..should include lights and heat ,what lot care what cutting grass for 5 minutes and shoveling alittle snow ,even if this state gets snow...prayers that your journey with cancer ,is not to difficult and healing happens with a miracle ,your home is beautiful!!
Cheryl is a lovely home owner with a lovely tiny house and a cute dog Zina. 🙂 The bedroom space looks so nice and homely. I prefer it over loft-bedrooms, which may feel claustrophobic. Wish her speedy recovery from cancer and good health. 🙏
I love this woman she is very practical. I just stared looking this past week for a tiny house to buy but the houses are maybe worth $75,000 but on a small lot the price tag is $800,000. The land where I live is so much more. I am single and I was living with my Mom just for a short time BEFORE she even knew she had cancer. She had Pancreatic cancer never showed in her blood until she was stage 4 we were planning on a train trip to Boston and to go overseas. My rent was high and going higher and she asked me to come live with her. We renovated her porch I grew veggies and re landscaped a small area of her yard. We loved being together. I had hopes of the house being left to me where I could buy out my siblings but higher powers didn't make that possible. Then covid hit and the nice spacious apts with elevators were not taking new residents. All I could find with my deadline was where I am now. No washer and dryer that's in a separate building. I have a disabled leg and I am on the 3rd floor. Not allowed to use nails it's historically registered. It's 610 square feet and I pay $1478 a month. I pay electric. I use my toaster oven and my microwave and I perk coffee on the stove. I have an Amish fireplace in wheel which is electric but I have only needed it now and then. I do not have heat or AC in the kitchen. I have a table top piano but until I set up my place nicer I do not have a place to play. I took piano as a child but never really learned it but I love piano music. I know how to play the guitar very well. I hate thought of calling a tiny house builder but I would want to own my own lot and I want to stay close to my Dad for now. There isn't any lots for sale only ones with homes. This woman has inspired me to tidy up my space I am very overwhelmed with all I have and I have downsized greatly already. I like to sew and bead and as if now I haven't any room in here. My goal is to have my place looking great by July 4th. I love this RU-vid channel. Blessings, Rebrkah
I really liked the size and spacious layout she came up with. Truly a comfortable home. Great ad again Alexis, plants and care in a bundle 😁. 🥶🖤🔔👍🏻👍🏻❤️❤️
I think it is awesome she designed her own home. It feels cozy although I do love clothing so a closet is a must for me. I hope her cancer is in remission and she lives a health happy rest of her life. God bless you, your family, friends and your dog.
You seem like such a lovely lady. You must be a very compassionate and understanding RN. Life can throw a lot of curve balls at us but I am glad that you are doing much better today. Plus, what a gift going tiny was to enable you to focus an a future aspiration rather than just your harrowing disease. It is also wonderful that going tiny has enabled you to remain and live in a place that makes you so content, all the while affording you an occupation that obviously supports your giving nature. Your home is beautiful and very well designed. Your layout combines a lot of storage for items you do not want to see all the time, yet keeping it comfortable, warm and almost like a hug to be in. I love your practical arrangement of your bathroom and your incorporation of many found antiques used in so many logical yet imaginative ways = re-purpose, reuse. I also love the fact that your design includes space for all the items in your life that you really love having. You did not have to dispose of them just to live tiny. The word 'practical' seems to fit you very well. Your children are so lucky that you are able to keep your Austin home enabling them to continue to live there. Further, that you are in a position to eventually arrange for your son to be able purchase it from you. I have no doubt about the kind of parent and mother you were and are. I wish you all the joy and good fortune in your health going into your new and adventurous future with your tiny home and with your cherished family.
Wow! What a heartwarming message! You captured and encompassed everything I wanted to convey in your comments! Heartfelt thanks LDK, Xena and I appreciate you watching and sharing your comments!
I saw the large island and I thought why would you take up so much space. Then I saw the wheels and I thought wow that’s so clever. What I would change, for me, is not have a dishwasher, especially because you are single. But then again, I’m old and even though all our homes had dishwashers, we never use them. But it’s good for resale. I would also drop down the tv in the lounge. From a recently retired nurse after 48 years, I wish you well on your journey.
Enjoyed this video, her tiny home is so beautiful and she all the great ideas to do with her home. I hope she is healthy and doing wonderful in life , her and her sweet doggie.
$800 seemed high but I would guess that land close in to town is very expensive. So the residents are likely paying more to be able to walk into town. That's a worthwhile tradeoff in my opinion.
Amazing, I love it!! So great to hear you giggle when showing parts of your home. I see you spending many decades in your perfect home. I would love a tiny house like yours. Not a fan of daily stairs either.
Wow I thought she was in her 30’s. I wish I’d ages this well. Good for her! Cute house, nice place to live but space rents crazy. Here it’s around 1000 a month or more in a park with other trailers or tiny homes.
Thats wonderful, im Filipino too, i dont hear an acent in your voice but i notice your Filipino. And you wwent from teacher to nurse, every Filipino parents dream for their kids lol. Love your home maganda ❤
Its not my taste or style but a lovely personalized home . My favourite is how she hung her jeans and the mirrored hanger in the bedroom. I love you took things from your home as I will do also.
I love the tiny you have for your sweet dog and self You designed it well everything is perfect ! Bedroom on main floor is what i'd want and two doors. WOW very cool about the toaster oven who would have guessed . You are one very positive smart lady I wish you the best of health moving forward I love your Tiny home and the design inside and out it is what Id be very happy living in. God bless you and your dog.
