Robert E Howard was taken way too soon. He had so much talent. I became aware of him as a teenager (in the 1980's) and loved to read Fantasy & Science Fiction and my local book store was selling a bunch of Conan books that were just re-issued (printed) and I only bought them because of the awesome covers (art by Frazetta) and I was amazed at how good they were. I would eventually research what other books he wrote and that was when I found out about Solomon Kane & many others. Robert E Howard had a talent for putting so much meaning with so fewer words. Most of his stories were short, but packed so much story.
