Great video, one fact I would like to point out about the water glob, you said in a vacuum, it is not a vacuum it is zero or close to no gravity.

Agreed. Scientific accuracy is likely pretty important to the target audience!
@Slarti
@Slarti 10 месяцев назад
Slightly incorrect - it is not in a vacuum and it is under the influence of gravity. It constantly falling within that gravity at a speed which means that the ISS never hits the Earth. Since there are still a few air molecules even that high up ,the speed of the orbit does decrease slightly over time which means that a boost is occasionally needed.
@lumntoob999
@lumntoob999 9 месяцев назад
@@Slarti the constant falling means there is no opposing force like when on the earths surface. So even though the ISS has roughly 90% of the gravity as the earth the constant free fall gives the same effect as true weightlessness. I don't quite comprehend how or to what degree but from what I understand we don't feel gravity unless there is an opposing force.

The astronaut in this short movie is David Saint-Jacques, a Canadian astronaut who was in the ISS from december 3, 2018 to june 24, 2019. I met the man at my workplace (which unfortunately I can’t disclose). Never thought I would see him in a sci-fi movie. A well made short, but the ending is a bit disappointing. Still, it was quite enjoyable.

When you live on a real space ship you don't need special effects to make one. Pretty cool idea. Love the creativity and ingenuity of the astronauts involved. They're not just nerds after all. So, you have to wonder how they got the film back to earth. Maybe on one of Space X's missions?

Very carefully made with all the authentic NASA/CSA footage! There was just one brief clip during the last EVA where a second astronaut is glimpsed next to the main character ... could that be his numenous, mysterious moment? Haha awesome. Watching it I marveled at the convincing effects, set design and lighting/ cinematography for a low budget short film. Man, these guys really nailed it, on level with big budget Hollywood productions, I thought. The lighting especially was highly convincing. No wonder, since it turns out to be 100% archival footage. What a great concept. Goes to show how you can create very convincing fictional reality using non-fiction footage, as is often done in documentaries pushing a certain agenda. Speaking of which, it's funny to think: not knowing the origin of the footage, watching for the 1st time, highly impressed by the quality of the special effects, there were some moments where I thought, ah they slipped up on the wire work here and there... feeding into the conspiracy of NASA faking all of their footage. As with everything NASA does, there are moments that make you scratch your head, and ive seen clips where wire work is unmistakable.

That was darn good. I would like to see the credits in the intro be a little bigger, brighter and stay up a bit longer before fading away. Was very difficult to read them if I was lucky enough to be able to even spot them as they faded in and out in random locations. Beyond that little issue the film was very well done. Great camera work, lighting and use of what appeared to be actual footage from the ISS. If it wasn’t it fooled me for sure. Thanks for posting for us to enjoy your work!

Looked good. Clever use of stock footage. Could have used some of that cleverness for the story, and not reuse one of the oldest and most used plot lines in all of Science Fiction, wasting the nicely built tension on a dud of an ending. All the fancy tech and look can't fix a run-of-the-mill storyline. Today's creators often don't seem to understand the importance of this.
